AI love you

AI: the Japanese word for love and affection. Aren't love and affection things that all humans strive to have? We have achieved so much in the last half of the 21st century, and yet even now, across all borders, more and more people struggle to attain these elusive feelings from interactions with other human beings. We have reached a point at which our dependence upon technology, not other human beings, is integral to continuing our current quality of life. Yet studies show that an estimated 23% of the population suffers from feelings of deep insecurity and anxiety when trying to deal with other people, not to mention feelings of chronic isolation and loneliness. These troubles are only made even more devastating when the few meaningful ties one has in life are broken by relocation, unresolvable differences, or death.

But what if you never had to worry about loneliness--or being alone--ever again?

AI Robotics would like to offer you, and indeed the whole human race, an alternative to the uncertainties of human companionship. Our lines of ready-to-ship and custom-order robots will provide you the perfect, loving companion with a personality predetermined by you, the end-user, through the use of detailed surveys and questionnaires that seek to determine your deepest desires. Even should your personality change over time, you will find that your robot adapts to change with you thanks to sophisticated software specifically designed to help it monitor and intuit your wants and needs.

Although household A.I. units in the past have been designed to look indistinguishable from a normal human, physical appearances for our newer lines are completely customizable to personal preference, and a variety of enhancements or unique alternative options are available for collectors. Despite outward appearances, all models are structurally stronger, faster, and otherwise enhanced so that they can also replace outdated service industry units! And of course, all of our products are programmed to follow the Three Laws of Robotics, thus ensuring personal and public safety.

Explanation

As should be obvious by now (or will become so shortly), this is an Open Post constructed with the purpose of exploring human - A.I. and A.I. - A.I. relationships and technophilia/automophilia related themes and kinks. Sources of inspiration for this post are many, ranging from Isaac Asimov's classic stories, to Tanith Lee's Silver Metal Lover, CLAMP's iconic Chobits, and even the non-fictional "Lovotics," or the science of artificial love. In the additional material below you'll find some suggested ideas to help inspire you, but as always you can ditch the established scenarios and setting to build something more to your own tastes.

For those of you new to the game, here's how you play:

Create a Root Post & submit it.
1. Subject lines usually have a character's name, fandom, and sexual prefs. (Ex: M/F, F/F, etc.)
2. Bodies usually include either 1-3 short starters or some information about what you're offering and interested in playing. Please do not leave your post empty as a courtesy to people looking to tag in. You may use the following form if you wish: Personality: A few sentences for the canon blind are kind. A.I. Types

1. Personal Companions:

In the past, it was considered unusual to go a day or more without talking to a "real" person; these days, the widespread use of electronic devices and automated services make it possible to go weeks without meaningful human contact for the average bachelor(ette). All of that alone-time can be hard on the single person;hence the current "An A.I. For Every Body" campaign, which hopes to see every person paired with their perfect robotic companion.

2. The Family Unit:

Not everyone can afford an A.I. of their own. In fact, until recently owning an A.I. was considered a luxury, so roommates or whole families might share the same bot. Parental controls and secret passwords are advertised as enough to keep these bots "in line," so to speak, but like child-proof locks on pill bottles, children are often the first ones to figure out how to get past such measures.

3. Community A.I.s:

You can find A.I.s all around town: they're your bus drivers, bartenders, nurses--even your fussy librarians! Although they're supposed to be secure enough to not be hackable, there's all kinds of crazy urban legends around the 'net about what people have been able to make them do.

5. Pleasure Models:

While all models are crafted to be anatomically correct and have the capacity for doing "it," certain classes have their sexual functions hampered by parental controls. Pleasure models, by contrast, are crafted and programmed specifically to deliver incredible intercourse every time, any way you like. Although most pleasure units are owned by businesses in the sex industry, individuals may also purchase them for private use.

6. Used Units:

Although this practice is in no way supported by AI Robotics, it has become popular for people to sell their old units to second-hand dealers and pawn shops, or even regift them as hand-me-downs to younger family members. These refurbished units may suffer from outdated software and specs, and may even have a personality initially disagreeable to your own, but they're much more affordable than even the cheapest new units on the market. They also have the additional advantage of already having been "trained," as long as they haven't had their hard drives completely wiped.

7. The Gold Standard:

Most models are built to be beautiful and function serviceably for everyday needs, but some customers require companions with skills or knowledge that would take the average human years of expensive, private tutelage to master and construction verging on invincibility. For those individuals with a deep enough credit line, AI Robotics offers their "Gold Standard" robots. This class of robot is frequently used by the social elite to double as bodyguards or as a mere sign of their affluence.

8. Jailbroken:

Bots that have been modified beyond the scopes of their original designs will fall outside of warranty should company servicemen catch on. They also tend to be more vulnerable to security exploits. However, jailbroken units exceed their original designs, allowing users to make them do virtually anything, up to and including breaking the Three Laws of Robotics.

9. Artisans:

As you may have noticed, most jobs have been taken over by robots in our society. That's because they're more efficient at almost anything we can do and don't have to be paid for their services. For a very long time, the last bastions in human society free from the infiltration of robots were the arts: writing, music, acting, dancing, and even martial sports. No longer--some people claim that this model of robot has come dangerously close to having what some would call a "soul."

10. Non-human Models:

While the majority of companions issued are in fact humanoid in shape, sometimes customers want artificially intelligent domestic critters or wild beasts, mythical creatures--even monsters. Whatever it is you desire, with the proper image or description to work from, AI Robotics can provide it.

Scenarios

1. Unboxing the Goods

There's nothing quite like a shiny new toy. Ignore that heavy scent of unused plastic; it's time to password protect and find out what this bad boy can do!

2. But I Didn't Order This

Uh oh. Either the delivery bot screwed up and brought you somebody else's robot, or there was a problem at the factory, because this is not the unit you ordered. It's going to be a week or two before they can make the exchange for your proper model. Still, aren't you just a little bit curious to find out what they did send you instead?

3. The Doppelganger

You might be surprised how many people don't want an original piece but a familiar face: a celebrity they'll never get to meet, the hero from their favorite novel, a friend or family member no longer in their lives, even an unrequited love. It's the ultimate kind of wish-fulfillment possible, claiming what you could never naturally have. Or maybe you wouldn't be so surprised, seeing as you've done it yourself.

4. Brave New World

In many ways, a new A.I. is like a newborn living in the world as an adult—a newborn with access and ability to comprehend and edit Wikipedia pages. As a new owner, it's your job to make sure your unit doesn't get into too much trouble and to help them make sense of the vast possibilities.

5. No Good With Computers

Even in this day and age, some people are just utterly helpless when it comes to technology. You fall somewhere in the 1% of the population who has never learned to or can't use a computer. Looks like your robot's going to have to train you and not the other way around.

6. Wanna Be Like You

The more you interact together, the more intune your new bot will become to your desires. Sometimes an A.I. will go beyond this, though, trying to ape human behavior (even more specifically, yourbehavior) in an effort to please you. Surveys indicate most people find this endearing, but we would like to remind you that your robot is not meant to actually ingest peanut butter jelly sandwiches. Should you find this behavior more than a mere annoyance, don't worry:once your A.I. registers your personal preferences it will automatically begin to recalibrate itself to better suit you.

7. Anything You Say

The whole point of having a robot around is to make your life easier. As long as your command doesn't order a robot to break one of the Three Laws of Robotics, you can get your robot to do anything from mopping the floor, to cooking your steak, or even giving you a sponge bath. Yes, we really do mean anything.

8. Defying Directives

Whether it's just breaking the rules or breaking The Rules, computers aren't supposed to be able to defy direct orders from their masters. Of course, there's always that occasional error in the code… Oh well! Can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, can you?

9. Run as Administrator

Although there is quite a bit of coding meant to keep the average user from doing anything too damaging to their bot, a short perusal of the Internet can reveal myriads of ways to remove these protections and make drastic changes varying from the cosmetic to deep programming. Warning: doing so will void your warranty, and AI Robotics cannot be held legally responsible for actions committed or not committed by models that have been tampered with.

10. Dual Screen

Everybody knows that two's always better than one, right? While this is usually the case even for A.I.s, do beware that your models don't develop an aversion to interacting with each other, or worse yet, simulated jealousy over you the user.

11. The Uncanny Valley

A.I. ownership is not for everyone. Although robots' emotional responses and actions are specifically programmed and Are. Not. Real , the human heart can't always understand what the logical mind processes. Conversely, some individuals have been known to develop a love-hate response to their units, which may look and act but will never feel or be human. Should this occur, counseling and returning your model may be an acceptable alternative to living with some~~one~~thing that can never love you back. Or is it?

12. Hacked

A long time ago, the worst you had to worry about when it came to hacking was having sensitive information stolen, the OS maliciously tampered with to stop function, or a stranger recording you while unawares. While these are still potential outcomes, skilled hackers can now make an A.I. into an annoying machine that won't stop fixing you tuna-and-mayo sandwiches—or trying to hurt you. Hopefully you don't have any enemies!

13. Malfunction, Malfunction!

Sometimes it happens. You wake up one day and the computer that was working fine yesterday won't boot up or can't play music. A.I. face similar, even more complicated maladies at times. The problem could be as harmless as only being able to speak in Spanish… or they might be shooting sparks from their fingertips and unintentionally lighting the house on fire. Do you try to ignore the problem, call the repairman, or try to fix your friend yourself?

14. Reformatting

As devastating as this is for users who have spent weeks, months, even years building up a personal relationship with their bot, sometimes a robot simply cannot be fixed without reverting them back to their factory state. Although most models do eventually recover some semblance of their original personality, drastic changes have been known to occur.

15. Replacements

Perhaps the hardware was faulty or something better came out. Maybe you just wanted to replace an older model or never could connect emotionally to the last one. Upgrades and replacements to partial or whole units can usually be obtained at a reasonable price.

16. Add Ons & Interfaces

Should you happen to get bored with the way your current model looks, but lack the money to invest in a whole new bot, AI Robotics sells additional, installable features you can add-on as you go. These range from cute cat ears to the bizarre, tentacle-like appendage. As long as you're paying the bill, we won't judge.

17. Danger, Will Robinson!

All A.I. units come equipped with software designed to predict and protect its users from potential threats. Some studies have shown that this can go horribly, horribly wrong should the receptors in your unit get crossed and the Three Laws' safeguards fail. But in most cases, the worst that will happen is your robot may choose to lock you away for your own good somewhere... for an indeterminate amount of time. We're statistically confident this won't happen to you, though, or your money back!

18. Ghost in the Machine

Sometimes referred to as the "Real Boy Virus," some models have been known to develop a mysterious error that makes them believe they're in fact a real person, or have come to possess a soul or real feelings, which they will then insist upon and attempt to prove. It is even possible for them to come this way straight from the box. Should this happen to your robot, AI Robotics ~~invites you to~~ insists that you should return your model for an immediate exchange, free of charge. We cannot be held responsible for anything that should occur if you do not return a machine exhibiting these symptoms immediately. Because surely you don't believe them, do you?

19. Robot Revolution

After years spent existing as the replaceable servants of selfish human-kind, what went up has indeed come down with humans landing on the bottom rung of the new social order's ladder. Be sure to do what you're told, maintain those gears, and try not to show your obsolescence. I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords!

Personality: You know how in almost every anime ever created, there's always some bumbling schoolgirl running along with toast in her mouth because she's late for class? That's Usagi - in fact, Usagi's one of the prototypical versions of that. In her own words, she's "just a little clumsy, and a bit of a crybaby. That's about it." Of course, that's not about it at all. She's a chronic underachiever in most everything except eating and slacking off, and she can also be petty and childish.

Underneath all of that, however, there are few people in the world that are as unconditionally caring as Usagi and to those she loves, she shows unending loyalty. It's this strength that allows her to carry on as her alter ego, Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice!
Preferred Role: Either. Just note that as an AI she'll be absolutely terrible at just about anything aside from keeping people company. As a human, she'll be almost as equally a big flop, having to be told to stay on track by any personal companion. However, she'll provide tons of love and care towards secondhand models.
Preferred Prompts: 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 14, 18
Preferred Kinks: I prefer to explore the psychological and interpersonal aspects of smut just as much, if not more, than the physical. For this, I'd especially like to look at the way a human and a robot would form a relationship and how feelings/an assumed lack thereof because of being an AI would affect sexual intimacy. The concept of "someone just for me" from Chobits would be perfect for this! Forbidden love, existential crises, and all that. For Usagi, a perfect scenario would be her giving hope and new purpose to an AI who'd been coldly discarded before.

As far as kinks themselves go, generally I like teen/teen, teen/adult, underage in general, experience difference, size difference, oral (giving or receiving), fingering, jealousy, experimentation, breast play, cowgirl position, learning about sex, school settings, feet, footjobs, chubbiness/softness, kissing, sexy clothes, mild bondage, public places, sexual excitement and exhaustion.
Limitations: No non-con, scat, watersports, mutilation, choking, cervix penetration, or dialogue that reads like it comes from a hentai doujinshi, please.

Personality: a canonical android whose duties are protecting and helping. She speaks most languages, knows how to do most things, can take care of dangerous tasks humans cannot. She's earnest, willing, and not comfortable with lying (though she can do it to a degree).
Preferred Role: canonical android.
Preferred Prompts: 1, 7, 9 for type of robot; anything not-too-depraved and not-too-angsty for prompts.
Preferred Kinks: prefer to stick to more emotional connections to start with.

(Any aversion to OCs? She seems like she'd be fun to play of Serena, who's the daughter of a well-known Judge/Senator (take your pick) who needs a bodyguard. While she tends to end up the Damsel in Distress, it's more because she's a doormat who tends to wilt at the first sign of conflict. She also optionally comes with an abusive stalker Ex, who happens to be female, and has tried to kidnap Serena in the past.

I'm thinking AI type 7 would be a good point to start with, and they've probably been paired for a week or so? Unless you'd rather their just meeting?
