and since we've no place to go

it's quiet
and the snow's beautiful tonight

snowfall;

stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white.
stage ii; very light and intermittent.
stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall.
stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.

scenarios;

① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
⑦ mix and match, or make up your own.

[Takes a while, or so it feels to Gabriel, for him to catch his own breath, swept away and having the mind to loosen his grip on Jack before it grew too painfully tight. Didn't let go, no, there'd probably be some bruising where his hand had grabbed hold of an arm, but let it remain there. Coasting along on that feeling, head tilted against Jack's as he listened to him breathing.

Couldn't fucking miss it.

Sank back against the couch, hand finally leaving their dicks and sort of thrown around Jack. Pulled him closer, head resting against the one at his shoulder. Some thought getting him to pull the fallen blanket better around them- half-assed as that might have been.]

[Jack is content to rest his head on Gabriel’s shoulder and catch his breath, only shifting to accommodate sinking back against the couch. That hand grips his arm too tight, but he doesn’t mind, relishing every inch and feeling of the moment. If there are bruises, they’ll be wiped away by his accelerated healing sooner rather than later, he’ll wear them with pride while he can—a reminder.

All he really wants to do is stay exactly where they are, Gabriel’s arms around him, but after a moment he starts to get a little too uncomfortable. He pulls himself off Gabe’s lap and settles in next to him, shrugging the blanket off his shoulder a bit. He doesn’t really need it, after all that.

Warm enough yet?

[Definitely got his blood flowing, and Gabriel stretched out a little -back arching away from the back of the couch- before slumping right back against it once Jack settled beside him. Something to shake out a bit of that feeling after sitting curled up with him in his lap, some low sound that could have been a chuckle that came out more as a sigh.

Weird but deep sound.]

Warmed up better than what the coffee would have done.

[He laughs, but only stays on the couch another few moments before he straightens, standing and beginning his search for something he can use to--]

Let me clean you up.

[There isn't much in the safe house, but he manages to produce a clean towel. Jack takes a moment to wipe the quickly-drying come off his stomach before kneeling in front of Gabriel and giving him the same treatment. He's careful, gentle, and he meets Gabriel's eyes as he does it, the ghost of a smile on his face.]

Well, you are the one who made the mess.

[Like he didn't help. Still, there was something like a held back chuckle there in his voice, head tilted as he watched Jack in his little hunt for something to use.

Doesn't hurt that he relaxes a bit further, reaching a hand without second thought to just brush his knuckles against Jack's cheek. Brief, but still a careful sort of touch and a faint smile that would be missed by anyone else. Spent long enough together, be harder for Jack to.]

I warned you.

[That there was going to be a mess. Jack doesn't mind, and he's diligent in his cleanup, even as he imagines that the towel is a little rough. He holds it out for Gabriel's hands, and then he's crawling back onto the couch, pulling up his shorts and settling into Gabriel's side.]

No complaining.

[Snorted-] I can give you that.

[Hands were cleaned and the towel was given a brief look before it was being tossed aside; not to be lost, but to just be dealt with later, wasn't about to get up just for that. Even balled it up so most of the mess was inside all of that cloth.

Tucking himself back in, head rolled back against the couch with a slightly over-dramatic huff. Leaning against Jack as the corner of his mouth twitched.]

Clean up well enough.

[For all Jack cares, they can just leave the towel--who knows when this safe house will see use again? He knows, however, that they'll both clean the place before they go, but it's a nice thought. Shirking responsibility.

He can worry about that--and everything else on the other side of this safehouse--later. For now, he wants to have Gabriel while he still can, shifting so that he can kiss Gabriel right where his mouth twitches.
]

Least I could do.

[Wasn't like there was anyone around to -or could- tell them to do anything, almost like a breather away from everything. Even with the damned cold, even if Gabriel could have done without that bit, just his luck-

... Not that it was all bad, eyes rolling at the kiss even as his head tilted to press a quick peck in return, chuckling lowly.]

Uh huh. Goodness of your heart and all.

[personal profile] strikecommand 2017-04-03 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
That's what I said, wasn't it?

[Jack leans in a little more to press his lips to the underside of Gabe's chin, catching the edge of his beard and grinning against him. Maybe that's not exactly what he said, but it's possible the sentiment is there.]

You're lucky.
passedover: (C'mon princess)

[personal profile] passedover 2017-04-03 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Close enough.

[Let out a breath, more of a sigh than anything, and Gabriel carefully tucked an arm around Jack while tilting his head. Giving his size a squeeze. Take this much now.]

Sure you're not the lucky one?
strikecommand: (pic#10434014)

[personal profile] strikecommand 2017-04-04 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
I feel a little bit lucky.

[But only a little bit.]

Not gonna sit around and stroke your ego.
passedover: (OH my god please end this)

[personal profile] passedover 2017-04-05 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Rather leave any stroking up to me?

[The set-up was there, and there was that damned smirk right there soon as the words left his mouth.]

[personal profile] strikecommand 2017-04-06 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[He throws his head back and laughs at that, a decidedly genuine sound. It's a bad joke, Gabe--but just bad enough to be good.]

Yeah, if that's how you want to play it.
passedover: (Well would you look at that)

[personal profile] passedover 2017-04-07 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Well that was a sound he had missed, and the bad joke risk paid off if you asked him. Well worth the risk.]

Doesn't sound like a complain to me.
