Pretty self-explanatory. No matter how awkward and unexpected they might be, there is always something exciting about them. Who is your company for the evening going to be? Will it be a person of your innermost dreams or someone you absolutely can't stand? And most importantly...

First date

 -- You've never been out on a date before, so someone's decided to give you a helping hand.

 -- Someone thought you didn't know your date. Turns out you know them from somewhere.

 -- Hey wait, that's your ex/boss/doctor/distant family member! Or, even worse, it's that person you absolutely despise. This will go well!

 -- You two are just acting like strangers to spice up your love life.

Future spouse

 -- Unfortunately, you have to have an arranged marriage. Fortunately, you get to meet that special someone for a date beforehand. How will the night go?

4. Play out the date. This meme can be completely fluffy, smutty, or hilarious. If you don't want smut, you can put that in your subject. It doesn't even have to be romantic.

This. Is probably not 2960s France. Just a guess, unless they'd massively redecorated since she'd last been there, in which case, all respect to them for the bold design choices. But probably--probably not.

Long story short: Newt Salamander ends up with a woman dressed raised-eyebrows-odd for the 1920s (and not even very fashionably for the 2960s) stopping at his table because, well, somehow he's got the only open seat in this cafe and she could do with a little something to eat while she sorts out if there's anything interesting to do in this era. "Eating alone?"

The setting is an elegant but not overstated café, the reserved table being one out on a sunny veranda with a view of the grassy expanses of a park. Hopefully no problems there. Jumin’s date also arrived first, good and early, and is seated in one of the two chairs at the small round, umbrella-shaded table. Dressed in slacks and an argyle sweater, his attire is a little old-fashioned but not out of place as he peruses a menu with great interest.

That said, he also looks like he could be Zen’s brother or cousin. He has brighter hair and paler eyes, but with uncommon colors like that, the resemblance is more than passing.

Jumin’s blind date isn’t in on the joke, though. He looks up at Jumin’s arrival and his smile is immediate as he stands from his chair in order to greet the other man. One hand goes out in search of a shake. ]
