You're my home
smut meme; ![]() They may be a rambler, a gambler, always on the run, a wanted criminal, someone with a higher calling, or just not the type to spend time with you (which may be fine by you), yet somehow, they'll always find their way back to your door. And they'll, again and again, find themselves wanting you, for support, for healing, for feeling alive, for venting frustration and anger, for anything and everything at all. You'll welcome them with open arms...and an open bed, because you want them, too.

Kei Tsukishima - Haikyuu!! - ota
Let him love you, Tsukki
Maybe that's why they're fighting more.
Kuroo and Tsukishima have always been an interesting mix, personality-wise. Kuroo's wickedly provocative, Tsukki sadistically sarcastic...but usually, neither actually means a whole lot of harm, and would feel distinctly awkward if they ever caused any even in people they don't necessarily like that much. With people they do like, such as each other, their remarks tend to have even less bite. But no amount of good intentions, or not really meaning the snarky things they say to each other, makes them proof against rubbing each other the wrong way...and that goes double for anything involving emotions, commitment, or - god forbid - both. Kuroo's got some quiet emotional reserve, generally preferring not to invest himself in things unless he's confident of the return he'll get, but he's not entirely averse to taking risks or gambling with his heart if he thinks the payoff will be worth it. On the other hand, Tsukki...is screamingly phobic of letting himself care about anything too deeply or for too long. Kuroo's been the instigating force behind their entire relationship, and the fact that their relationship's actually gotten as far as living together, as getting engaged - and that Tsukki agreed to it - is miraculous.
But the wedding is definitely a subject that, at best, puts Tsukki into a high state of tension whenever it comes up, and they don't have the luxury of being able to ignore it. Which means, more and more, both their nerves are being rubbed raw - Tsukki's from constant exposure to something that puts every nerve in his body in high-alert panic mode, and Kuroo's from having to constantly tiptoe around him and getting snapped at even over innocuous things unrelated to the wedding. Even with both of them making every effort to be patient with each other, they've started arguing again on a level that resembles the early days of their relationship, back when they were both settling into each other.
Tonight was...especially bad. Bad enough that Tsukki had stormed out, even when Kuroo - belatedly panicking - had called for him to come back. He's still panicking, frankly. A lot of the uncertainty in their relationship, pre-engagement, had come from Tsukki; Kuroo had been the type of person who'd had a lot of casual flings in the couple years of college he'd had before Tsukki had caught up with him and Kuroo's focus had shifted. Tsukki's never entirely believed that he's appealing enough to hold Kuroo, that Kuroo wouldn't just get sick of him and find someone else. Kuroo thinks - hopes - that their engagement has set those fears to rest. But...Kuroo has his own fears for their relationship, ones that their engagement hasn't settled. He knows Tsukki is afraid to commit to anything, is afraid to care too deeply. He's not confident that Tsukki won't just...decide that their relationship isn't worth the stress and fear of wondering when it might end, and walk away from it himself. That Tsukki won't just give up on it if things get hard enough or scary enough. It's not like people don't call off engagements. Tsukki left, and he might just...elect not to come back. And Kuroo isn't with him to try to talk him out of it.
He's been restlessly moving around their apartment ever since Tsukki left. Sometimes he'll sit, only to get up ten seconds later and begin moving again. He can't relax, can barely think. What little he can think is on the subject of how justifiable it is to chase someone who insists they don't want to be chased - because, if Tsukki runs away, Kuroo doesn't see how he can stop himself from chasing after him. He can't accept losing this, losing him.
Every now and then, he stands still long enough to fire off another text to Tsukki's phone. He hasn't gotten any responses.]

Re: Boris Airay | Alice in The Country of Hearts
Still, for all his..... eccentricities, and strange interest in him, Seto has learned to tolerate Boris' presence fading in and out of his life. There's worse company to have, after all, and at least he manages to restrain himself to normal business hours; he's actually never even seen the man outside his office. Of course, that also means Boris interrupts his work whenever he arrives.....
That part, at least, is starting to go beyond simple exasperation--he has a schedule to stick to, after all, and he doesn't budge time for nuisances who don't know how to knock. So Seto doesn't even look up from his computer this time, voice dry against the background of clacking keys.]
Back again, I see.
