HOW TO PLAY

• Post with your character info and preferences. Gen, shippy, and smutty questions & dares are all welcome in this meme, please let people know your limits and respect your threading partner's wishes!
• Optionally, include "Truth" or "Dare" in your top level comment to allow someone to jump right in, or leave it blank and let them pick first.
• Tell the truth or do your dare, then the other character picks whether they'll answer a question truthfully or do what they're told, and so it goes back and forth. Come on, you know how this works.
• Magical compulsion fields that force characters to tell the truth or do what they're dared may or may not be in effect.
• That's it! Pretty simple, huh? Get out there and have all kinds of awkward fun!

[ But seriously, the poor girl looks frazzled as can be; you'd think being in a subunit with her would make her more used to it, but, Mari has a way of keeping you on your toes-- ]

Though, come to think of it, I'm not sure if I ever heard the story of how you two actually met...

She was a transfer student. The other kids were being stupid about it, though, so Dia and I went over to say hi and ask her not to hold it against them. We've been friends... I'd say "ever since," but. You know.

[What she leaves out: she had heard of Mari before that, because word travels fast on a secluded island. Saw her, from a distance.

It's kinda too embarrassing to admit, even for Kanan.]

So the three of you really have all been friends for that long...it's almost impressive, really.

[ It's almost like her and Maru...only, of course, minus the bit where she had fallen out of contact with her throughout grade school. To be with someone for that long... ]

It's easy to imagine she'd fall for you after that, though, Kanan-senpai. You were basically her hero, after all.

You don't have to worry about stuff like that, Yoshiko! After all, my first impression of Kanan was that of a total weirdo, but I fell for her right on the spot anyway. [ Hee! ] The most important part is being true to your feelings!

It sure looks like it to me, honestly, Kanan-senpai. Or, at least, it looks like Mari-senpai's way of showing it.

You can't fall for somebody you aren't even acquainted with. You think, oh, this person is rich [prod] or you hear, this person comes from a good background [prod]; and you're imagining them to be something you could fall for. How do you know whether it's true if infatuation towards an idea is all you have?

Well, that does sound like a good point...you want to fall in love with a person for who they are, not who you think they are. That does makes a lot of sense...

But that makes falling in true love at first sight harder, then, no?

Which is why first impressions are important. [Inadvertently a jab at Yoshiko...whoops] If you're met with a person who turns you off on the first meeting, wouldn't you be less inclined to get to know them better?
