Lea isn't sure he's ever going to get the hang of this stupid Keyblade. He's used to having something in both hands, being balanced, and being able to fight from a distance, but the Keyblade just throws all that out the window. It was like starting over from scratch, and the first few weeks were absolute murder. He's pretty sure he hadn't ached like that since he first joined the Organization and had to learn to fight in the first place. It's getting easier, but it still doesn't quite come naturally.

Which is a shame, given that he's surrounded by Heartless at the moment. They always seem to show up at the worst time--he'd been trying to talk with Aqua, but no, they had to go and interrupt everything. Stupid meddling little... monsters. He knows Aqua doesn't really like him, though he's been trying his best to get on her good side. He took a hit for her that time and everything! She's been a little less cold and suspicious since then, but she still doesn't trust him, not completely, and he guesses that's fair. He's not sure he trusts himself all the time.

Either way, they're gonna have to trust one another right now, if they're going to get out of this in one piece. Why do the Heartless always travel in hordes? He has a lot of respect for Aqua, after hearing her story, but it seems that doesn't do much in the face of his having worked for Xehanort.

He backs up and bumps against Aqua, glancing over his shoulder and hefting a sigh, his Keyblade in his grip and a crease of worry in his brow.

"I think we can take 'em, whaddaya say?" he asks with a helpless sort of chuckle.

And yet he still can't persuade people he doesn't need babysitters. It's not as if it isn't very obvious. Thor's friends were always Thor's, not his. And yes, perhaps he'd earned some doubt, but the constant unwelcome and unfriendly company was starting to grate.
