In nature, animals can be territorial. This makes sense; it's a cutthroat world, and you have to keep what's yours just to survive. They keep a close watch on lands, food supplies, and even sometimes mates. Pet owners can tell you that this instinct doesn't just go away - try getting that chew toy from your poodle. But what about people? Aren't we just animals, too? But for us, possessiveness is not a good social trait to have. That's understandable. Nobody likes someone so hung up on owning things. Especially not owning their lovers, since you can't simply have another person like that.

Yet even the most benign, most monkish of souls have possessive streaks at some moments when it comes to the person they're sleeping with. It's only natural. Usually, it comes from jealousy. You like having what's yours (even if it's a cruel way to think about things, that's the reptile brain peeking through), and you'd want it to stay that way. That means you want to show up the competition and remind the object of your desires that you're the apple of their eye. Of course, possessiveness doesn't always come from jealousy. Some people are just very, very...how do we say it...protective of them and theirs. How can they help that they want to show that in intimate ways?

In relationships, possessiveness throughout isn't healthy; still, a little bit of it can be actually arousing, especially in the bedroom. Today, the hotel is awakening that side of characters: the part that wants to screw their partner mercilessly to show them that they are the ones to touch them, to love them, to fuck them.

But my character isn't the possessive type, you say? Really? Really? As we've mentioned before, even the most kindhearted types feel it every once and a while. This meme never mentioned that it had to be a HUGE show of possession. It can even be a playful attempt in order to get their partner going or try a new kink in bed. Or, you could say the "influences" made them do it.

After all, there's plenty of prompts here to influence you.

HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. You also may want to include if your character is more or less likely to be the possessive or jealous party, but please note that all characters have the potential to be that in this meme. Otherwise, you'd get a lot of passive pillow queen characters to be fawned over so be mindful of that.

1. Induced Jealousy: Whether by taunting or misunderstanding, one partner is jealous and wants to make sure their lover knows that they're the worthy - and only - one.
2. Insecurity: There's no outside source here, only self-worth issues that cause a need for possession.
3. Pushed by the Other: "Man up!" "Show me you want me!" "Grow a pair!" You can only take so much.
4. Making up for Losses: You can't be together outside the bedroom, so you have to make up for it here and you want the bed to be your domain.

[ Scratch that, Wash is livid, a live wire sparking off with more than just anger, but with jealousy, with irritation, with need. Felix had never been subtle with his intentions towards Tucker, but when Tucker started sending barbed bait back? Filthy and dirty words that all could hear? Well, then Wash gets like this-- gets possessive. Sure, she knows that Tucker hardly manages to control his mouth on a good day, but today isn't a good day for either of them. ]

[ Tucker is hers, just as she is Tucker's. Ownership is a two way street for them and while there's been road bumps, they've made it work. ]

[ It doesn't work when Tucker's making eyes at the enemy, no matter how sarcastic. Wash could just shrug it off, but instead as soon as they're back from their mission, she's dragging him off the Pelican, away from Kimball, Grey, and everyone else there to meet them or debrief them. They come later, this comes first. Reassertion of dominion. It's rare for Wash to feel aggressive enough or confident enough to initiate meetings like this but that does not mean she's unsure of herself in this position. ]

[ Wash doesn't say a word to Tucker until she shoves him into an unlocked training room, one used primarily for private training. She doesn't remove her helmet and she doesn't bother locking the door either when she follows Tucker in, but she does growl at him instead, something she picked up from Maine ages and ages ago. ]

[Okay, so this totally wasn't fair. It wasn't as if he liked Felix, aside of liking to put a bullet in his head, but back earlier while Wash was captured and Tucker was emotionally lost, he might have fooled around with the asshole merc. Maybe he was a little drunk and maybe it felt good and maybe that sick fuck lied to him, lied to them all.

But that was gone now, and betrayal was a beautiful breeding ground for hate. It only grew dimmer, darker the more he realized about what Felix had done, who he really was, and the fact that he was the reason Wash had been gone in the first fucking place. Now, for all their barbed bullshit back and forth, Tucker wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole and someone else's dick pushing.

Ever since Wash had come back, ever since they had turned into Whatever-This-Was, he had been hers and vice versa. Settling down hadn't been even a thought until she came along, but he had. Crazy.

And he remembered now why he wasn't good at settling. Fuck, she was pissed, and as she dragged him from the bird, he stared at where Kimball and Grey stood as if he needed their help. He was fairly sure that he did, now that she was growling in the private room and she had that tone. The one he liked and the one he feared.

Just like all things, however, he was shit at following orders so he stood right where he was.]

Malcolm flipped over the railing to Felicity's balcony and landed on silent feet. He knew he could use the front door but he enjoyed sneaking. It kept his skills sharp and the little squeal Felicity made when he surprised her was a bit of a turn on.

He slid into her apartment and went to find her hidden stash of wine. He poured two glasses and settled on the couch to wait for her to come home.

There were days and then there were days. This was definitely the latter. She was pissed at Oliver that she had been put into the situation of having to protect him technologically with no physical support, he was trying to kill the new recruits, and to top off this sandwich of hell he is not listening to anything she says, and Malcolm has been gone too long.

She opens the door and sees him on the couch. She doesn't say anything, just drops her shoes and walks over to him, straddling him on the couch. She took his glass of wine, drinking it in one go before tossing the glass against the mantle.

She grabbed his collar and pulled him in for a long deep kiss.

Ji-woong is surprised that Sungwoo isn't at the entrance to the base waiting there for him with their lookouts when he returns from his business trip. But then the two of them are already obvious enough about the fact that they can't keep their hands off one another, maybe Sungwoo didn't want them sniggering at him for how desperate he is to have Ji-woong back.

That's not just a feeling, either; Ji-woong knows how Sungwoo gets. Lonely, then angry about being lonely, and then he complains because over the phone isn't good enough, and then he tries to start bargaining to get Ji-woong to come back sooner, even though he knows business can't just be cut short - hell, half of the business trips are arranged by him, he's the one who handles that stuff!

He hasn't finally moved onto acceptance, has he? Ji-woong doesn't really want to come back to a boyfriend who just shrugs and says, "oh, you're home," like it's no big deal. Nah, that can't be right, Sungwoo wouldn't ever get like that!

Ji-woong is still a little reluctant when he pushes open his bedroom door. It's unlikely, but what if Sungwoo had something else to do and just... Isn't there?
