It's time to go on a date! Sounds fun, right? Sounds easy, right? Well, you're in for a surprise. Everything goes wrong. We mean everything. You planned everything perfectly (or went spontaneous) and yet, nothing is going right. Here's hoping it doesn't ruin everything!
SCENARIOS
1. FIRST DATE FIASCO This is your first time dating this person even though you've had a little build up. Maybe you've been friends a while and decided to date! Maybe you met in a bar. Whatever. Anyway, your first date is going horribly. Rained out? Terrible service? 2. BLIND DATE BLOWUP A friend is trying to help you out. You're being set up with someone you've never met. Maybe you're totally incompatible. Maybe you actually do know them any they hate you. 3. DOUBLE DATE DILEMMA You're on a double-date with your friend and their date, but maybe the people you're dating end up into each other. Or you end up into your friend. Or your date ends up into the server. Maybe you end up in a food fight. 4. ANNIVERSARY DATE ANARCHY You've been together a while! Married or just dating, you have everything planned out amazingly. But nothing is going right. Reservation canceled? Subtle band music going wrong and falling apart? Food poisoning? 5. CYBER DATE CATASTROPHE You swiped right. Sure. That's fine. They're cute, their profile is nice, they don't seem like they're going to murder you. All pluses. But some things are too good to be true. Are they talking at length about their cat when you're super allergic? Maybe they're telling you that their lifestyle is too dangerous and you can't get close to them or showing you endless selfies. 6. PROPOSAL DATE PICKLE You want to propose. You want to make a good impression but you're just messing everything up. You fall over getting down on one knee, you knock them into a lake, you get chased by swans... 7. FAMILY DINNER DATE FUCKUP It's time to meet your significant other's family! You're really nervous but it can't go that badly, right? Orrr maybe you have a family feud happening or the parents just hate you or you've dated their sibling without realizing it. Yikes. 8. BOTCHED DATE BAILOUT You can't take this any more. You have to use your code word or your secret text message or whatever, get that sweet call of "family emergency" so you can escape.
As always, these are just suggestions. Make up anything you want, as long as you're having fun!
[ Albus has been planning this for ages. He's so rarely nervous about anything at all but this, this worries him. He wants everything to be perfect. Everything has to be perfect for Scorpius, because the other young man is perfect so he deserves everything to be perfect. He wants to make a good impression even though they've been dating for a few years now.
Everything should go smoothly. It should but when they get to the restaurant he chose, he finds out that the reservation never went through and that he can't even buy their way in with money. (#richkidproblems) He doesn't yell. He's always kind to people in service jobs and he knows it isn't their fault but it frustrates him and he flexes his fingers a few times to relax but he smiles pleasantly, thanks them, and they go elsewhere. "Elsewhere" being a cosy little diner they haven't been to before that looks nice, feels nice inside, and somehow manages to mess up their orders.
Albus is annoyed but too tired already to bother sending anything back and it's still edible, anyway. Still, he murmurs apologies to Scorpius as they eat, looking harried and a little upset. When they pay, he still leaves a tip, the generous kind he normally does. Shit happens. He's trying to make this a nice night. None of these people know how important tonight is to him. It's not their fault.
It's also not anyone else's fault that now they're standing in front of the theatre they were meant to spend the rest of their evening at staring at a very young box office attendant like she's grown an extra head. ]
Canceled?
[ Something in his jaw works slightly and she looks like she's getting ready for him to yell at her, to make it all her fault - but Albus just forces his muscles to relax and gives her a tired smile. ]
No, it's fine. I'm sorry you've had to put up with a bunch of entitled pricks probably yelling at you tonight. If you could just transfer our tickets to another night if that's possible or even to a future show if that's not possible? I don't mind. I apologize, I must have missed the alert on my phone.
[ Now she just looks startled. But she nods, relieved, and works through the computer - there's nothing for a couple of months for another show entirely, which she sounds tentative about, but he smiles and shrugs. ] You do what you gotta do. It's no one's fault. That date will be perfect. Thank you very much. They'll just mail the new ones like before, yeah?
[ Everything is settled after that. After they step away Albus sighs, shoulders slumping as he drags his fingers through his hair in frustration. He doesn't even really look up at Scorpius because he doesn't want him to see the emotions warring on his face. ]

"So are you gonna buy me some fries, or." Look, he's just gonna have to accept he ended up on a date with a damn skeleton. Urushihara has to have SOME priorities here.
[Nephrite had been going out with Ami for a while, and had gotten accepted to work at the police station, so he thought now he could ask her to marry him. He had saved his payments to buy a ring (even though he still thought rings were small puny things that didn't show well how much he loved her, but he had seen that Master and turtle-idiot had bought rings for their fiancées and they had looked really happy) and got a reservation at a fancy restaurant.

Blind dates weren’t usually Amy’s thing, but she’d been convinced to give this guy, Jackson, a shot. Her friends had sung his praises. Apparently he was an excellent lacrosse player. However, they’d said suspiciously little about his personality. It made Amy just the slightest bit hesitant, but she’d dated some pretty awful guys before. She could handle one bad date. She was sure of it.
Of course traffic would be insane, so when she pulled into the restaurant’s parking lot she was already ten minute’s past the time they’d agreed to meet. It was just a small amount of time, but she still felt bad for arriving late.
Amy hurried inside, scanning the crowd for someone who matched the picture her friends had sent her, and walked over to the table he sat at. “Hey! Sorry I’m late. Traffic was crazy. I’m Amy.” She flashes her smile at him and hopes for the best.
