Bruised. Beaten. Stabbed. Sapped of energy. Tricked. Mentally played and abused. Perhaps you've even seen your home world destroyed, depending on how Homestuck you are. Any way you slice it, characters go through a lot of crap.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to see them get pampered and taken care of when they're ailing. In canon, they may not have someone who can provide them with care when they're injured, support and love when they're sick, and physical intimacy all around. In this post, AU or other scenarios can provide them with a caretaking partner of their very own (or, maybe, someone to take care of, if the reverse is their preference). So, for once, weary traveler, you don't have to carry that weight all by yourself.

to bring you out of the darkness;

The injury may not be a temporary physical or mental one, however. Some characters suffer more deeply, even if they don't know it. Darkness covers their hearts, they're withdrawn, insecure, angry, or lonely. They need someone to reach out to them and show them unconditional love.

This post can provide that, too.

Whether it be the cliche and shameless "changed by your love" trope or something more subtle like getting someone to open up, the characters here can offer that and more. All are welcome, they just have to take that first step.

Well, that's no fun. He was at least hoping Cat would be amused, and if not that, it's sort of funny when people are horrified. Getting thrown out of society for the universe's most melodramatic graffiti is a better story, maybe.

He looks faintly sulky, hair flattened out, as he leans against the table. "No one pays gutter trash for legal computer work," he adds begrudgingly. Clearly his awesomeness should speak for itself and he shouldn't have to explain. "Now whenever they look at that spot they have to remember it had a nine-letter name carved in it with supposedly unhackable weapons systems."

Not entirely fair. He had gotten paid. He'd become a person - technically - but he'd still been on a leash and the cost had been what, exactly? Walking on broken legs. The psychic equivalent, anyway, and the damage that came from it.

"Where were you before you landed here?" It was worth asking. Somehow.

"Blackmail. Fancy." That being important enough to blackmail seems sort of noteworthy says a lot about his life.

He hesitates about answering for a moment before he decides that everything about the job is a bust and he's far away from known space and it was a stupid job anyway. "Seven, maybe eight tendays into robbing a necropolis, getting picked off by the most uncomfortable security system in known space."

It's been another long night in StarCity, even longer for Oliver who had to make a pit stop to the doctor that agreed to keep his identity a secret, and treat his wounds. He's got one too many bruises this morning, as well as a long gash on his left side, one that required a dozen of stitches. It took two hours to clean every cuts and dress the stab wound, but now Ollie just looks forward to his bed.

But he's so tired and groggy and high (oh-so so high, thank you Dilaudil!) that instead of going home to Howard mansion, he slips into Rose's apartment, and crashes on her couch, having barely taken the time to slip out of his Green Arrow gear. There's a throw on there that he uses as a blanket, though it's barely covering his body. Oliver doesn't really care by now, and it makes him giggle like a drunk, a sound he tries to muffle with the decorative pillow his head is resting on. Rose deserves her sleep, after all.
