Here's the thing - you're dead. No matter your precautions or lack thereof, you've reached the end of the line. Rotten luck, huh? Actually, you're one of the lucky ones, because you've been sent back. As a ghost, admittedly, but at least one person can see you.

And that's key. The conditions of your return, both to the mortal coil and, eventually, back to your body, is that you get them, your sole witness, to fall in love with you.

Oh, you also have six days. Easy enough.

[she'd fully expected everything to end after the air came short and her world went dark, but as it turned out, there really was some kind of afterlife, which didn't sit well with her for a number of reasons. but being brought back as a ghost (truly, a ghost, she was still getting used to that) afforded certain opportunities. namely, being able to hunt down Huey and wring his lying, traitorous neck for what he'd done. the only obstacle being that she had to make someone-- this girl --fall in love with her within six days. which, admittedly, would be a challenge, seeing as she was hardly the most seductive person. but it could have been worse. it could have been a man. and really, watching the girl cook, Strangelove thinks that were their positions reversed, she'd have been on the hook within two days. most likely. depending where this magic drew the line between love and infatuation.]

[by now she's been floating around for about two hours trying to figure out how to best reveal herself. is there really a best, most sensual way to appear in front of someone as a ghost? if there is, it certainly isn't coming to her. beyond that, exactly when the six day time clock would start had never been made explicitly clear, so... best to just do it and get it over with.]

[and so Strangelove materializes out of seemingly nowhere, sitting at the kitchen table. best not to say anything yet, just see how the girl reacts.]

[ Seasons come and go without a care in the world. Two years have passed and many things changed for the people that once occupied this house, but the world never seemed to recognized thar. It simply kept moving, days rolling one after the other, hoping that the people living in it would move along or fall behind.

Sometimes she's not sure which of the two she's doing.

But this was home. This was the place... no, she wasn't saved by the place, but by the people living in it. A sweet, every day-like salvation. That's why even if no one else is left to take care of it, she still won't let it fall apart. She'll protect this house, stubbornly keeping a home to which they can return to, no matter when that may be.

Illya would have liked that, she thinks. ]

Uhm...

[ That's why she won't give up. She'll come and clean and cook, now that there's nothing holding her back, now that she's become a bit more brave to decide for herself. She'll move forward to her own pace, protecting what little she can.

... But still. ]

[ Looking at the pretty foreign lady sitting on the table, she must say that this wasn't the ghost she was expecting to face. ]
