Rey has done her research - if research means pestering her friends for every little bit of information and opinion she could gather. It's not that she doesn't know what she's feeling ... that part, she's completely sure of ... it's the specific timetable that events are supposed to occur that is a mystery.
But, as she's been reassured, there is no specific schedule that these things happen. 'You like him, right?', Poe had asked, 'And he likes you. You just ... do what you're comfortable with when you feel comfortable doing them, not before. You'll figure it out'.
And, for the most part, it was sound advice. But that doesn't stop her from pacing her quarters, worrying that maybe she was pushing things along too quickly when she and Pavel have been just fine with kissing and what slow explorations they've indulged in up to this point. Of course, there comes a time when a person just wants more, and she's reached that point.
Okay. No reason to be nervous. She can do this. She wants to do this.
All that's left to do is ... tell him.

His pace slowed as he walked, just now wondering if she felt the same way and that they were both feeling ready to take the next step as he didn't want to pressure her into something she didn't want to do.
Pavel took a deep calming breath before pushing the door chime, waiting anxiously for her to answer.

For a moment, she's sure that all her pacing was going to wear a hole into the floor. But it was always easier to think when she was moving, and with no other option, pacing it is. She decides - she can wait, if this is too soon, it's worth waiting for.
But she hopes that she hasn't misread everything completely, that they're both certain that they want to take this step. It's not a small thing, after all, not for her, and she just wants it to feel ... right.
She's torn from her thoughts when the chime rings out, and although it takes a moment for her to move toward the door, she eventually does, smiling as it slides open in the way that it does, and it's Pavel there, as she knew it would be, and she offers a hand to hold as she gestures him inside.
"Hi. I'm so happy to see you."
