... Well, technically, he does own a car, but he doesn't drive it himself. Someone does that for him to spare Seoul from the endless damage Jumin Han behind the wheel would inevitably cause.

Unfortunately, the pictures of Luciel's cars that have been posted in the chat are a little tempting and he finds himself wanting to get behind the wheel. He doesn't go out of his way to follow through on the urge, but he does send off a text one day after work. ]

I've let you spend time with Elizabeth the 3rd, so I'd like a favor in return.

[ He's still very aware of the fact that waking up to Luciel beside him was because of his cat, though he's let that slide until now. It seems like a reasonable enough exchange. ]

Give me driving lessons.

[There's typically not a moment that Luciel isn't within reach of his phone, so the flashing of the screen is enough to distract him from shoving more Honey Buddha chips in his mouth. The picture of Jumin is all he can take in before the message fades from the screen--and he's already curious that Mr. Trust Fund would be reaching out for him. It's not like they talked often...unless he was finally getting revenge for that one night...?

Well. Only way to find out was to open the message and...

Oh. Oh. Driving lessons? There's a flurry of multiple texts sent in response.]

[ Once the messages start coming in response, Jumin waits. There isn't much point in trying to respond in the middle of Luciel's texting. So it isn't until the messages come to an end and Jumin's phone stops pinging with new notifications that he bothers to read all of them and respond. ]

It's not a joke. I really want driving lessons.

I have a driver, but I'd like to be able to drive myself.

If I wanted to kill you, this wouldn't be the method I would choose.

[ The last text is meant to be reassurance, though it likely comes across as a bit of a threat. ]

I'll provide the car to practice in.

[The threat-not-threat has Luciel's fears both assuaged and rekindled, but his curiosity is much stronger than his survival instincts. Why the sudden interest in driving? And why ask him for advice? Sure, his babies were lovingly cared for and perfect in every way, but Jumin could't even ask his driver for help?

[ He has, admittedly, asked his driver and been politely turned down. He's also asked a couple of other drivers who work for C&R as a whole and also been turned down. One of them went so far as to say he values his life more than his job.

So, his next step was to ask someone who appreciates cars and will be less likely to hesitate in scolding him if he screws up while learning. Since it's not like his driver would ever go that far. ]

I'd like to set them up whenever you're free. I can arrange my schedule around that, unless I need to be out of the country.

[Well. It wasn't as if Luciel was rolling in spare time himself either. From his workload with the agency, realistically he shouldn't be seeing the sun for another...three months?

But Luciel was never one for realism.]

[ He waits, allowing for the last couple of messages to come in before he bothers to reply. The time is acceptable, though Jaehee might not agree since it'll mean Jumin leaving work early. ]

[ The here in question comes with an address. If Luciel looks it up before arriving, he'll find that it's meant to eventually become the location of a luxury apartment building. Right now, it's nothing more than a very large slab of cement that will be repurposed or torn up entirely to start again once all the permits are cleared and contracts are signed.

A perfect place to practice driving since there won't be any other cars to run into. ]

When evening rolls around the following day, Jumin arrives early, dropped off at the lot by his driver so he can be there for the delivery of the car he's purchased for this. ]

[Luciel doesn't arrive late per say, but he sure isn't early either. Escaping Vanderwood's eyes was sometimes harder than he let on. Sure, his work wasn't completely finished, but his security questions on his door should give him a long enough stall...

Regardless of the loss time messing with that, it's only about ten minutes after five that the squealing of wheels sound his arrival. He's sure to slow down to an acceptable level of speeding before he's in sight of the lot, to not frighten (if that emotion was even possible for Jumin?) his new student.

He pulls up close to his driving protegee, perching his sunglasses on the top of read curls as he exits his sports car.]
