After her rescue from Karachi, Irene had traveled the world for a bit before ending up in the states. The same work in a new city. Irene Adler could make her way anywhere.

She wasn't expecting to cross a familiar face, and she's stopped dead in in her tracks. So much like Sherlock, and yet not. She doesn't realize she's staring.

He often took walks in the physical part of the city to clear his head, even though he could still see certain things, certain slime that would crawl out of crevices and need to be extracted.

He feels the eyes on him and briefly probes her mind - not intrusive, merely... whatever is being directed at him.

He isn't the genius she's really looking for, the one she's besotted with.
She doesn't have anything attached to her from the nethersphere that doesn't belong.
She's not from New York, though clearly. He seemed to be staring into space himself, not - directly at her.

She obviously was at the very least physically attracted to this person she thought he resembled. Well. That was curious, really.

Irene walks closer to him, as a moth to the flame. She can't help herself, she must at least meet this man that reminds her of her detective.
