Severus felt a headache coming on as he yet again stopped Remus from doing something wrong. They'd been paired together in Slughorn's idiotic hope for House Unity, believing in the claptrap Headmaster Dumbledore spouted. This was why he was now sharing a table with one Remus Lupin who was horrid at potions. In fact, he wasn't sure why the bloke was even trying with this class.
A hand on Lupin's wrist Severus raised the other to pinch the bridge of his nose. "By Merlin and Morgana, have you paid no attention over the years?" He asked as he took his hand away and sighed, his voice low if only for respect of the classroom and others working on their potions.
"You cut up too much. If you added all of that, yes, it might still work but it would be a subpar potion." Dark eyes then levelled on Lupin. "You may have been skating by with subpar work in your classes, Prefect Lupin, but I assure you, I do not. Use your bloody head."

So, yes, perhaps they were out in the wide open. In Austria. But they were surrounded by gorgeous mountains and there were flowers, and the Commandos looked like puppies on their first spring day, so yes, she was sitting down with a mountain of maps she'd taken with her and had them spread on the soft warm grass and was plotting out a new course.

[I had an idea for a thread that I wanted to see if you were interested in. Cavendish here goes to great lengths to present himself as a "knight in shining armor" type and practically lives off of the attention his adventures and brave deeds give him. But he also has a certain integrity, always stand up for those who cannot fight for themselves or who need his strength and has great respect for what it means to represent something, so. I was thinking that he could be someone who's been tasked with escorting "lady Amalthea" to someplace, present his most noble and "chivalrous" side and she sees right through him... but also end up seeing the actual virtues he has under his hunger for glory and in the end they end up falling in love.
Only he has also learned that she is a unicorn, and their journey's purpose is to find a way to turn her back. He knows that if they give in to their passions he may change her in a way that could prevent her from ever becoming a unicorn again, but she truly accepts him and makes the void he tries to fill with glory and fame feel somewhat smaller AND she has feelings for him despite knowing what he's really like. So what to do...
Nitty gritty is that this is a First Kiss scenario that might turn into a "First Time" scenario, depending on whether or not they manage to pull back from going all the way, which I honestly haven't decided yet if they're gonna do, wanted to know what you'd be interested in first. How does that sound?]
