a smutty reunion

The premise of the meme is simple. Two characters, lovers, have been separated for a time. How long is up to you, as is the reason for the separation. Was it unwilling - an imprisonment, a required journey - or because of a choice one of the characters made? The reason may, of course, color the reunion, and somebody may be pretty miffed, with good reason. Still, the theme is the same: intimacy after being apart. This meme is mostly geared towards being a smut meme, but nobody will judge you for just doing so heavy fluff. Reply with your character and preferences. Reply to others. Assumed CR is probably key here.

It feels like they've been waiting for this day for years, and even though it's only been a few weeks, Pavel feels butterflies taking flight in his belly as he exits his transport ship, eyes moving over the area on the other side of the long corridor from the ship to the landing station. He knows Rey is coming to meet him here, that they will take a quick transporter to their resort, but he can't help the anxiety rising in him, beyond ready to see his girlfriend – his everything – again.

Finally, once he's in the main hangar, he spots her, looking for him just as anxiously. Maybe it's ridiculous, but he breaks into a run, his small travel bag held close against his side as he sprints across the space between them, tears working their way free of the corners of his eyes. His legs and chest and heart are aching by the time he reaches her, and they throw their arms around each other, their bodies colliding with enough force to knock some of the air out of both of them.

Burying his face in the crook of Rey's shoulder, Pavel squeezes her around the waist, sobbing softly at being in her arms again, feeling her heart beating, her chest rising and falling, hearing her breathe. Taking a shuddering breath, he moves to meet her eyes, his own swimming with wetness, his face flushed with emotion.

"Can I say it now?" he asks, his voice breaking softly. "Please, can I say it?"

[the galra ambush had had them totally by surprise, and there hadn't been time to recover from the initial damages. a tactical retreat was the only thing they could do to get away, and regroup once they were safe.

[it had taken a few hours of running for the castle to be clear. another few for the first paladin to arrive back, pidge. shiro followed, and then hunk a few hours later, and lance the next day. he had thought, at the time, that he would be the last one. he was devastated to find that keith was still not home.

[they knew the dangers of getting into a relationship. they knew they could lose one another. they knew it was risky to mix love with something like defending the universe, but they were teenagers. they didn't really know how to curb those kinds of things, especially not with the both of them being so impulsive.

[He hates to say it, but Shiro is just... getting used to miraculously finding a way back home. Even if 'home' is no longer Earth, if his life has gotten so complicated that he doesn't know when or if he'll get there. The Paladins, the Castle, those are what feel like home now.

He'd gotten into trouble some time before, fallen into a situation where time almost stopped having meaning. It was different from his time with the Galra - then, he had been subject to experimentation, injury and fighting for his life. This time, he had been nearly dead when he'd hit the warp that was meant to take him home to the Castle, separated from his Lion during it, stranded on an unknown planet. How it had happened is a mystery, at this point.

But he'd been lucky. Someone had found him, taken him home and patched him up. They had never spoken, not once throughout the recovery process, but Shiro had never felt threatened or unsafe in any way. And then, they'd just... helped him to find a way home. More accurately, they had waited until he was fully healed to lead him to a set of machines, broadcasting equipment that let him send out distress signals and reach the Castle of Lions.

He'd nearly cried when they hailed him, when they were even willing to come back, out of their way. Somehow, he had expected there to be too much going on. Perhaps a new Paladin. Distantly, he'd wondered if Keith had had some say in it.

Speaking of, he hadn't seen his boyfriend yet. The others had all said their hellos and good wishes, given their hugs and shed their tears. A twinge of curious trepidation works its way through him as he makes his way to the training room. Keith's usually either there or in the sleeping quarters, which will honestly be his next stop.

His steps feel like they sound heavy, but really they're just like they always are.]
