Comment with your character, preferences, preferred role, and any information you'd like to include.
Your character has either been injured/sick and had to be taken in (possibly against their will) or has been the one to help somebody like the former. Through the mending process, the two characters in a thread have fallen in love - or at least grown closer and more affectionate.
Y'know, this probably wouldn't have happened if you didn't insist on going alone.
[Vaan can't hell the snark in his voice as he dresses one of the many wounds, trying to hide how worried he was for the dragoon. Kain always went off alone, although he wondered if he ever got hurt like this before and they just never knew. Or someone else found him and didn't say anything. Much like now, Vaan wasn't going to tell the others if Kain insisted, but that didn't mean he was going to like it.
Not to mention he wished Yuna was there, he was pretty sure there was a low grade fever beginning and Vaan didn't know if it was poison or infection, none of the wounds looked infected so far. Of all his abilities, healing magic wasn't one.]
[ OTA, a hundred percent down for AUs, assumed CR, crossovers, and the like! For this meme, I'd prefer to play Karako as the healer, but I'm open to both roles. ]
(ooc: I don't have all the details worked out, but I was thinking of Larxene being another Alchemist prodigy like Ed. She would be someone a bit antagonistic towards Ed. The kind of person to call him "shorty" and all that, but in the end she got herself seriously hurt protecting Ed's life so Ed decides he'll be the one to look after her since he finds out there's nobody to look out for her. No next of kin or anything like that.)
[ OTA, a hundred percent down for AUs, assumed CR, crossovers, and the like! Jane would be an adept and surprisingly compassionate caretaker, if impatient. On the other hand, she wouldn't make the best patient... I'm down to play her in either role. ]
[Being the first to charge into a fight takes its toll eventually. There are only so many battles that you can run blindly into and expect to come through unscathed. Sooner or later, one of them turns out to be stacked against you.]
[Vastania is badly injured, to say the least. Whatever she tried - and horribly failed - to fight has done a number on her armor, and it's anyone's guess what she looks like underneath it. A dark blue, foul-smelling liquid drips from beneath her helmet and starts to pool under her horned head. It could be serious, or it could just be a nasty nosebleed. Either way, she looks like she could use some help.]
[If he were in his position -- it would be no more than he expected. To have finally met his match. To be struck down and left to die by a foe that had, at last, exceeded him. It is the moment he had spent his life preparing for.]
[Let on one ever say the paladin isn't a hypocrite. He is. He knows it, he welcomes it, and he has the logic to defend it.]
[Hell. That's more than the Light can simply heal in a flash. Even laying hands on her couldn't begin to fix the blatant physical damage she'd taken. Which left Mar to skid to a halt in the mud next to her, arms windmilling to keep his balance, as his unsummoned charger leaves him with only momentum and the memory of hoofbeats.]
We need to get you out of here and someplace safe.
[ OTA, a hundred percent down for AUs, assumed CR, crossovers, and the like! Insert joke about getting the royal treatment here. If you were looking for a worrywart (in either role), you found her. ]
Heâd been quite sure he was going to die. But in doing so, he allowed the time needed to evacuate Haven, to save everyone from the Red Templar forces descending inexorably on them. Someone had to do it, and he was the best option, the one Corypheus and his archdemon wanted to find and kill, which guaranteed theyâd follow the bait. Heâd already been flagging after the closing of the Breach, the invasion of their camp. Well rested and prepared, properly equipped he might have stood more of a chance. As it was all he could do was take a gamble and pray that it paid off.
Not expecting to survive, but there were worse ways to die, right? Whatever the case was, he wasnât in the best of shape, battered from the fighting, from Corypheus, from the fall. Limping out of the cave, feeling a dull flare of worry as he was buffeted by snow, a sharp cold wind driving it into him. He wasnât prepared for this. Dressed warmly yes, but not for blizzard conditions. And in his current state he didnât have the energy to tap into the Fade, so couldnât even use magic to warm himself.
His clan tended to stay in temperate climates; there were winters and snows to be dealt with, but a forest in winter and a mountain in winter were entirely different beasts, and Athras was⊠not equipped for this one. All he could do was start walking, focusing on a light that he thought he could see through the sheets of snow that buffeted him, fighting his way along the treacherous terrain made worse by the blanket of snow that hid pitfalls. And he worried. Was the light he saw in the distance even real? Or worse, was it the sign of an enemy camp. With the cold sapping his energy, he knew he was an easy target, keeping his arms tight around himself in a desperate attempt to keep some warmth from being stolen.
When had he dropped to his knees? He didnât know; it was hard to think, hard to focus on anything at this point, but the cold that was⊠fading? It was fading. Perhaps the snow was deep enough that it was blocking the wind some. He was dimly aware that this wasnât the case; feeling warm in cold weather was a bad sign⊠but for the life of him he couldnât summon the reason why he shouldnât just rest. It was hard to say if it was his decision or not to simply drop entirely into the deepening snow, barely moving from the spot other than a weakened shift though what he was planning to do was questionable. But it didnât matter. Heâd be able to focus better if he took a moment. Closed his eyes and rested, it would help.
[Kept aboard the Enterprise while his crew was left to sleep or any other AU you can think of. Maybe found on Earth sleeping instead of space. Most likely the sick/coming out of cryosleep one although those roles could shift as he gets his footing.]
