"Not gonna lie, I'd be kinda worried about you slowin' me down." Fae laughs, shaking his head as he looks around the room, impressed by how much more Keelan has considered than him. "But it's been like five minutes and you've already thought harder about this than I have. So maybe you're not so hopeless."
There's more to it than brute force after all, that's just where Fae's strengths lie. He's strong and he's clever, but Keelan seems to have the practicalities covered already, which is something Fae wouldn't have thought about until he had to.
He feels like he should warn Keelan again, tell him that once you run, you don't stop running. It's a life of constantly looking over your shoulder, never finding another home because you can't afford to stay in one place for too long. Never trusting. Never sleeping the same.
But he won't disrespect him by telling him any of that. Keelan has had the same experiences Fae has - Keelan knows what he's getting into. He's choosing it.
With that in mind, Fae leans in, reaching an arm out for Keelan's forgotten robes as he smirks down at him. There's a dark seriousness to his tone that contrasts the ease of his expression. "You're in this now, then." He pulls the robe over Keelan's face and then stands, moving towards his own clothes. "Get what we need, Keelan."
