"Stiles, I'm going to give you a helpful hint about something. When you order your Master around, they're less likely to do the thing you order them to do. And in fact will refrain from doing the thing just on principle."

Something told Derek that Stiles was going to be very difficult... Like saddle training a wild stallion. You throw the saddle on them and tie them to the post till they get used to it. They'll buck and pull and fight as hard as they can until they give up. Derek didn't want to have to throw the saddle on him this early...
