James followed Vincent through the store, mostly so he wouldn't be hassled, but stayed back, mostly playing on his phone while keeping an eye on the deer out of the corner of his eye. Still, he did see the section Vincent was checking out and also the fact that he came away empty-handed.
"He won't talk to you about his father. They didn't get along very well shortly before Kaito's death. But he'll probably get drunk here soon, now that he's starting to get just enough time to breathe. Might even cry, or call his brother. But you shouldn't worry all that much about it, alright?"
