She hadn't meant for him to find out like this. If she had her druthers, she would have kept her identity a secret forever. Aunt Peggy, on the other hand, had other ideas, listen, it wasn't like she was blaming her great aunt, on the contrary, while she would be happy to have Peggy around forever, but she wouldn't trade the peace that she had in the end for anything.

Bucky had gone crazy, and Sharon sat in the med bay, looking at Steve.

"I never wanted you to find out like that," She admitted reluctantly.

Steve doesn't answer right away. He can't, because if he tries he might say something he regrets. He'd been reaching Bucky and then someone had undone all his hard work with a few simple words. "Were you ever going to tell me," he asks point blank. There was really no point in beating around the bush with so much on the line. "Or were you just going to let me travel along completely blind?"

"No Captain, I wasn't going to tell you," Sharon said matter-of-factly. She was definitely not one to beat around the bush. What was the point of sugarcoating the truth anyway? It won't change the facts.

"The point of keeping a secret is not telling anyone," She stated, somewhat sharply, but she immediately regretted it.

"I'm sorry, but if you were in my place what would you do?"

Steve has to think about this for a long time before answer again. "I don't understand why it had to be kept a secret," he says finally, "I wouldn't have judged you in fact I would have been proud to fight beside another Carter. Believe me I know something about secrets too and this one did not need to be kept."
