When it comes to the way affection is shown, everyone has a different way they go about it. That means that there's a pretty good chance, with regards to couples, you could end up with two people who have two varying approaches towards how they prove they care...sometimes radically varying, which can lead to more than a little confusion or hurt feelings if there's not proper communication. But when both people are on the same page, they can tell each other how they feel with few words.

There are very few isolated places in Skyhold, and even fewer that remain that way for long... especially if you're the leader of the Inquisition.

Ever since their interactions grew more serious than simple flirting and teasing here and there, Laurence has been eager to find some time alone with Lasulahn where nobody will disturb them despite the near constant requests for the Inquisitor's attention. How do they always track him down? He's sure Leliana is to blame for that.

Today Laurence enlisted Dorian's help to distract a number of people so that he could grab the elf and drag him off to a corner of the library for some time alone.]

"Nobody will disturb us this time. I'm sure of it." Dorian is dependable when it comes to his friends and companions.

Seated on the carpet with their backs to a bookshelf, Laurence slips an arm around Lasulahn's narrow shoulders and urges him a bit closer.

Occasionally, rarely perhaps, Lasulahn became a bit overwhelmed that someone, somewhere, always seemed to need his attention. For the most part, he'd become used to it, always here or there to authorize this or consider that or sign the other. It was simply part of his duties, part of his (admittedly sometimes overwhelming) responsibilities as leader of the Inquisition. Sleep was often the only time he was afforded any peace during the day, and sometimes, not even then.

He's not quite sure what is going on, when Laurence is suddenly guiding him out of the garden, from where he'd just been discussing plans for the herb garden with Mother Giselle. A bit mundane, but vital, giving the healing herbs they grew. And as they passed Dorian, the Tevinter mage had something of a mischievous nod for his companion - what was that about?

And then they find themselves in some lost corner of the library, and the elf probably couldn't be more confused, until Laurence explains. He can't help but a soft laugh. "What's this about, Laurence?" He allows himself willingly to be tugged in.

"I don't know," he says, glancing out of the row of books as if waiting for Josephine to come at him with her clipboard. A shadow of worry passes across his countenance briefly. "You don't think something will happen, do you? Surely being away for just a bit will be alright..." Because he would certainly be lying if he said he didn't want a bit of time alone with his companion.

Bruce wasn't one to give or take affection easily. His past was too much of a mess for that. But he'd figured out that people liked getting things when they knew the gift giver had worked on them personally. So when Bruce Banner wanted to show someone he cared he made them something.

He was currently putting a wrapped package on her desk and trying to be sneaky about it, but a super spy he was not.
