Here's how it works!

1. Comment to this post with your character. List the character's name, series, and any preferences you might have in the subject.

3. The two of you are now on a date! The first list is where you took your date. The second list is your current relationship.

Locations

1. Restaurant. What better way to spend some romantic time than over food? Maybe you're at the fancy restaurant in town, or maybe you just couldn't afford anything nice, so you're at the nearest diner. Or maybe somewhere in between?

2. Games. The two of you are playing a game somewhere! You could be at a bowling alley, an arcade, a miniature golf course...the possibilities here are countless.

3. The Park. Of course, Mother Nature can provide an excellent atmosphere for romantic bonding! Perhaps you're taking a leisurely stroll through the lush grounds, or maybe you've laid out a blanket somewhere so the two of you could have a picnic.

4. Movie Theater. Or maybe the two of you are sitting next to each other in a dark room, sharing a bucket of popcorn while you're watching the latest film. Did you opt for a horror flick to keep your significant other latched to your arm -- or for you to latch to theirs -- or perhaps something they enjoy, like a sappy romance film or a cheesy action flick? Or maybe you compromised and went to see a sweet romantic comedy.

5. Skating. It's always nice to go skating, right? Are you at a roller skating rink, or did you find a frozen lake and decide to go ice skating? Which one of you needs help (you know at least one of you does)?

6. Beach. Ahh, the beach! Go ahead and set up camp wherever you like! Or if you don't watn to lay down and catch a tan, you can go swimming, or take a walk along the shore! Or if you don't want getting sand on your feet or in your shoes, go hit up the boardwalk!

7. Sunday Drive. Sometimes you don't really have a destination in mind. Sometimes you just want to drive and enjoy the scenery. Well, here's your chance to do that!

8. Amusement Park. There's plenty to do here! Take your date on the Ferris wheel, or the tunnel of love...or something more thrilling, like a roller coaster! Walk around with cotton candy!

9. Dance/Ball. School dance? Prom? Business gala? Whatever it is, you're there, and you've got a date.

10. Wild Card. Your choice! Feel free to pick something that's not here.



Relationships

1. Blind Date. You had no idea who you were going out with until you arrived! Was it a complete stranger, or did it turn out to be someone you knew?

2. First Date. You finally worked up the courage to ask this person out, and they agreed! How awkward is this going to end up?

3. Steady. You guys have been going out for a while. This is just another one of many dates.

4. Proposing. This isn't just any date for you. You've brought your significant other out somewhere to propose to them! Make sure to warm them up for the main event!

5. Married. You're not just dating, you're a married couple! Whether this is a special occasion or you just decided to break from your everyday life, the two of you are using this as an opportunity to remind each other just how much you love one another.

[Abby sighs inwardly with relief. The question had been asked so many times she'd perfected her instinctive answer. With a giggle, she replied:]

My father wanted to see the mall situation. I think we're putting up a coffee shop. That, or buying the whole mall.

Buying the whole...[Santana trails off, the menu in her hands almost fell to the table but she caught it in time. This girl..was rich?

Santana's well off- who wouldn't be with a doctor for a dad- but buying the whole mall, that must be like, Sugar Motta level of wealth.

She awkwardly clears her throat] Wow.

He's on this streak of "discovering" America and "shaking up" little towns and all. I think he's having one of those mid-life crisis things, and Americana is a hang-up of his since he only got out of Ireland when he was thirty.

[Santana lets out a low whistle. Maybe a new owner for the mall won't be such a bad thing. As far as she cares, it couldn't get any lamer than it already is]

Awesome. [She quirks a smile. When her dad had a mid-life crisis, all he did was restock the liquor cabinet and buy her a new car]

[Abby smiles, leaning in a bit.]

What do you do?

Nothing really. I just graduated, so i'm stuck here waiting around until I can go to college. [Once Spetember comes around she is so getting out of here. She's still thinking about going to NY.]

That's where I'm originally from! Well, if you don't count my childhood in Sligo.

I've never heard of Sligo [Santana smiles apologetically] but i'm guessing that's in Ireland? That's really cool.

[Anywhere is better than Lima to grow up in.]

I've only been to New York once for a Glee competition, but it was amazing. [as long as you ignore the defeat and the whole Finn-Rachel-kiss-on-stage crap]

It's okay, not too many people have. Yeah, it's a few hours out of Dublin.

[Abby lights up even more. She was going into her high school existence in a private school upstate, but was interrupted by the waitress serving their drinks.

She gratefully sipped her iced tea.]

[Santana accepts her diet cola and looks over the menu once more. The waitress would be back in a few minutes for their order]

You eaten here before? The pasta is awesome and the breaksticks are to die for.

I haven't eaten here, no. I've lived on the chef my father brings along and the food court in the mall.

[She laughs, like having a personal chef is the most ordinary thing in the world.]

Pasta? I could go for that, yes!

The food court's not bad. There are worse places around here to eat. [Santana mostly ignores the 'personal chef' comment. She almost expecting it with the whole this-girl-is-loaded thing. Huh, wonder if Abby has a limo...

When the waitress gets back, Santana orders the chicken and tomato tagliatelle and an extra order of breadsticks to share. Sort of. She doesn't usually do that.]

[Somewhere in the back of her mind Abby is reminded of something the person that had set her up said-watch it. Her habit of being frank and matter-of-fact came across the wrong way sometimes, and even little slices of her life sounded like "I'm-better-than-you" statements.

She sincerely hoped she hadn't just made the mistake of giving Santana that impression. After Santana orders, she gets a rigatoni al alfonso for herself, with a panini sandwich on the side.

When their orders are taken, she smiles.]

Sorry. I have this odd tendency to talk and talk and talk.

[Santana just chuckles. Rachel Berry talks and talks and talks. Abby doesn't talk as much as that, but to be honest Santana doesn't mind. It's better than the awkward silences when she used to go on dates with guys.]

Don't be sorry. It's totally fine.

Yeah, me too. [Santana can feel the blush across her cheeks, but has never been happier that her complexion hides it.]

It, uhh..was my best friends idea, actually.

[Her best friend who just happened to be her ex. Things just...didn't work out, but they're still close. They worked through it, and Brittany just wants her to be happy.]

A blind date seems safer than going around asking girls if they're into this, especially in this town.

[Abby knows when she's hit a nerve. She smiles brighter, nodding.]

I know-I have trouble with it even in New York, what more in a small place like this.

None taken [Santana shrugs. She knows it'll be easier to be herself in New York, but it'll still be hard.]

[Abby pauses, as if trying to find the right words. Finally:]

...It's boring out here? And I've only ever been hit on by guys I'd rather kick in their junk than stay in the same room with.

[Still, that makes Santana grin and all she can do is nod in agreement]
