"People ask, How did you get in there? What they really want to know is if they are likely to end up in there as well. I can't answer the real question. All I can tell them is, It's easy."
Well, you've really done it now. You're in a mental institution. Maybe it's a modern facility with a therapy garden, compassionate staff members, and a warm environment meant to help nurse people back to health, or maybe it's a glorified dungeon where the government shoves people they don't want to deal with and patients are abused by staff. Regardless of what it is, you're there, and it doesn't look like they're planning on letting you out any time soon.
Maybe you're actually not supposed to be there and you're trying to arrange for your release. Maybe you actually are meant to be there and you're struggling with your illness. Maybe you're not a patient at all and you're just there to visit or earn your paycheck. It's up to you.
Rules:
1. Post with your character's name, canon, and your preferences on the subject bar, and set up the situation.
2. Tag other people. Are you a visitor? A staff member? A fellow patient? A hallucination? It's your choice.
3. Have fun!

Didn't think I'd leave you here, did you now? Come on. TARDIS is waiting. What'll we see first? The stars I think. Tie a bed sheet 'round your waist and let you float out a bit in them then reel you in, have a spot of tea then stop on a proper planet.
[He holds his hand out to her.]

But they're not here. Look. [She points out toward the window.]
no subject
So we'll go find them. They've got to be out there somewhere.

Mad man in a box. Rather boring if you ask me. Running around sane all the time. Everyone ought to try mad for a little while.
[The TARDIS is parked in a linen cupboard at the end of the hall. It's a bit of a squeeze.]
no subject
Where've you been? I've been stuck here for years.

Got a bit distracted. Time bauble you know, bit of a slip and had to save a universe along the way. Skipped over a couple of parallel universes. You know how it is.
[The grief is back as he presses his hand over hers against his chest.]
I'm very sorry, Amelia.
[He hadn't meant to leave her here. He really, really hadn't.]
no subject
You're here, yeah? That's what matters.
[Straightening, she squints at him.] Now get me the hell out of here.
no subject
Right. Of course. Right away even.
[He unlocks the TARDIS door and holds it open for her.]
After you, Pond.
no subject
It's all true then.
no subject
'Course it is. Most things are you know. In some way or another. There's a lot less fake out there than people want to admit. The stars, right? We want to see the stars. Stars. Stars. Stars. I think I've got just the place.
[He goes frantic then, whirling about the console flipping switches and pulling levers.] Hold that down just over there, would you?
no subject
Oh right.
Amy moves to hold something and looks back at him.]
I want to see the stars.
no subject
Stars. Go ahead then, open the door. Let me know if you're going to take a step out though.
no subject
She turns her head to look back at him.]
I knew they were real.
no subject
Of course you did. Kept biting your therapist I'll wager.
