Sara watched Jessie take down 3 thugs without barely breaking a sweat, but looked to see another thug creeping around the corner with a gun aimed right at her back while she was busy cuffing his buddies. Instinct kicked in as she threw one of her daggers at him, striking his hand and making him drop the weapon and curse aloud as Jessie finished cuffing the last thug as she went and got ahold of him as well.

Jessie, beautiful, Jessie...

Jessie always felt lucky. Or at least seemed to be. She knew better. She knew she was being followed, and actually had a fairly good idea who it was. If anything, it just made her more confident. She knew someone had her back. If it wasn't evident before, the scream from the thug as the dagger pierced his hand made it loud and clear. She kicked the gun out of reach, and brought another pair of cuffs out to subdue him, too. If her intel was right, he was the last. But that kind of info is usually fluid. She pulled the dagger out, ignoring the scream, and kicking him back down.

"Four in custody, move in." Jessie radioed, speaking loudly. She hoped that her 'ghost' partner would get out of dodge before they got there.

Sara smiled as she watched Jessie finished apprehending him and watched as the backup came in and hussled all the thugs away. Another night complete with the brunette no worse for wear - at least this time.

She wished...but, it was impossible.She was given direction and she was following it, but it was very difficult. She couldn't help but admire her strength, but soon that admiration turned into something very different...

Love. Yes, as ridiculous as it would sound considering they knew each other about as well as people chatting on the internet. But yes, she was in love with this woman.

Jessie wrapped up the arrests, giving instructions that she was going home and would be filing the report tomorrow. She hadn't told anyone about that feeling...that feeling like she was being watched. That feeling like someone or something had her back. Her coworkers would've thought her crazy, and they could easily be right. That didn't stop her from mouthing thank you before she got into her car, and drove towards her apartment.

Sarah watched the dark-haired woman head off in her car towards her home, and as the night had wound down, she thought it best to check in with her bosses as well and give them the update. Jessie didn't know it, but she was special more than she knew.

Jessie headed home, grateful for whoever it was that hit that gunman with the dagger. She walked into her apartment, the dagger in her hand. Getting a beer from the fridge, she sat down on the couch, twirling the dagger. She had seen it before, but didn't know what it meant. It was perfectly sharpened, perfect weight. She hadn't met their owner, but damn she was grateful for them.

(OOC: Hey lady; sorry I've been quiet - been watching and seeing what Matthew's going to do, but where I'm at won't get hit directly although we will still be getting wind and rain so there's advisories for that. Hope you're doing ok and hope your move is coming along:D)

Sara reported in to her superiors, giving them the report they requested as she went home soon after. She didn't dare tell them that she did lose one of her weapons - considering she had several of the same item in her arsenal. Hopefully, if Jessie found it, she'd hide it away somewhere safe and not leaving it about. It'd be even worse news if anyone else got ahold of that blade.

After getting home and getting things settled, she decided she did need a shower - preferably starting cold because seeing Jessie do what she did made her plenty hot!

Jessie was very well aware of where Sara lived. Every once in a blue moon she would catch her friend at home, but it was rare. After a night like this though, she found herself grateful to see her friend's car in the driveway. She got out, six pack of beer and a bottle of vodka in her hands. She just hoped her friend didn't mind the surprise.

(Jess doesn't know that Sara is her guardian btw. Moving is nuts. How are you?? Im worried sick about you.)
