For more than any other reason, Sheik came back because he trusted her. She was safe and comforting and though he cultivated tranquility within himself, it was seldom that he could find it out in the oft-chaotic world. For the Sheikah, being with Elena was enough to put him at ease.

But the duties of his life and lineage did not allow him to remain with her. There were those that needed him and those that would hunt him down, might find her if he ever stayed for too long.

In spite of that there were many more nights like these where he could not keep himself from her. She'd left too strong an impression in him, had set the flame of want and need in him. Like so many times before, Sheik broke into Elena's apartment while she was away. Naturally he never left anything broken on his way in and nor would there have been any trace of him if he decided to leave before she returned that night. Sometimes that was what he did, but not then. He missed her too greatly. Missed the sensation she so frequently gave him, of being unable to keep from smiling. It was a rare thing for him to smile at all.

Sheik was dressed in the <a href="https://i.imgur.com/V6hR8bK.png>same clothes</a> as always, everything tight against his slender physique. His traditional clothing was ragged and clearly worn, but well-made. A dagger was sheathed on his back and his lyre was tied tightly to his back as well. He liked to play it for her. While he waited in the darkness of Elena's apartment, he wondered idly of what she might think or say when she saw him. How much might have changed since he saw her last? But he dismissed the thoughts, turning to look at the door as he heard it opening. <small>( ooc: feel free to come up with whatever for how they met? maybe he saved her life at some point? you're welcome to PM me too if you want to figure something out! )
