What they should be doing is heading back to base for medical attention--nothing too bad, just a few bumps and bruises, but somewhere along the way this became a better idea. He's currently shoving an ungodly amount of hash browns into his face, stopping only periodically for coffee or words or both.]

The guy certainly looks the part, which is not necessarily a good thing since he wasn't very specific about what the job is. Generally, when you're hiring street dealers, a clarification he just now made in a flat voice, you don't. ]

[ Being a fugitive is hard work, especially when you still want to make some kind of difference.

The point being, even something as simple as going to get food after a successful mission can be an ordeal. Going out to eat at three in the morning is one way to not get noticed, at least, but Steve's still got his baseball cap on and the hood of his jacket pulled up as he steps into the Denny's.

The server asks him how many, he holds up three fingers, and soon enough they're placed into a booth.

Steve's face is still smudged with dirt, sweat, and a little bit of dried blood, but he personally thinks Sam and Bucky look even more exhausted. He takes a sip of water and then leans his chin on his hand. ] I mean, we're almost at morning. I'm allowed to order breakfast, right?
