It's time to shake things up, everyone! Have you ever wondered how the other half lives? Well, now it's time to find out!

REASONING

1. YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAY Your quintessential alternate: you play the character as if the changes have always been that way. Nothing is new, except YOU know. The player, not the character. Just so we're clear.
2. MAGIC MISHAP Did you screw up a potion or get turned into a frog by a witch? What the hell did you do wrong? Anyway, the change is magical in origin.
3. LASER BEAM So the super-villain just shot you with a de-aging laser so you can't fight them. Or put your brain in a robot. Something something something.
4. ALTERNATE UNIVERSE Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet another version of yourself? What if that other self was really different? What if dude Spock met lady Spock? Never mind that that's canon, it's just an EXAMPLE. Work with me here.
5. YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE You're the only one different! Either everyone else is confused as you or they're acting like everything is normal. How can you get things back to the way they were?
6. TIME TO PLAY You're not REALLY different. You're just pretending for a little while. It's fun while it lasts, but will you want to put things right?

WHAT'S DIFFERENT?

1. RANK FLIP Oh Captain, my Captain... who is now my Ensign? Uh? When did this happen? Superheroes to sidekicks, commanders to captains to privates, and all amalgamations within.

3. WELL THAT'S NEW This is your catch-all for physical attributes. Maybe you're spectrum slid, maybe you're a robot when you were human before or a human when you were a robot before. Maybe you're an ALIEN NOW.
4. ALIGNMENT SLIDING Like being the hero? Too bad, now you're the villain! Or, you know, now you're the hero and you totally forgot your plans for world domination.
5. TEAM DIVISION Everyone is swapping sides like it's no tomorrow! Your teammate yesterday is your enemy today and the guy you wanted to punch in the teeth yesterday is now your best friend.
6. GENRE SWAP You used to be in a comedy and now you're in a horror. Or you used to be in a drama and now you're in an action flick. The possibilities are endless.

[ I hope you're ready, boss lady, because that sharp clack of perfectly maintained shoes on stone floor never bodes well for you. Seto has a whole stack of new reports in one hand as he knocks on the office door with the other. ]

[She's always ready, although 'always' is a little subjective when Cissnei is waiting on a new pot of coffee to brew after another all nighter. She barely looks up at the door, recognizing the knock and calling out to him. Seto is usually the bearer of bad news, so she tries not to grouse at his arrival.]

Come in. [Seeing the look on his face when he shuts the door behind him and turns to her, she exhales slowly and keeps her eyes on him.] If you have bad news, go ahead and start with that.

[ His face is stoic, as usual, and the sheaf of papers he slides onto her desk is perfectly arranged, as usual. ]

The budget projections need your signature. Every department is asking for more.

[ Not that any of that was a surprise, nor really his job to keep track of. But it gave him a more obvious excuse to come in without much gossip. ]

And..I need a decision on what to do about the ransom for the cat. I'm sure you read the demand.

[The budget can wait and he knows that, but it is as good of an excuse as any to try and keep this little incident as far away from publicity as possible. She closes her laptop and turns hrr attention to the paper that has been sitting on her desk for the last day or so, eating away at her concentration on other projects. Cissnei runs a hand through her hair, trying not to look frustrated but it is still there in her eyes, anger cold and steely.]

If I give into one demand they'll try to keep me on the hook forever.

[Cissnei says, finally standing up and walking across the room; She thinks better on her feet. This sort of ridiculous situation is what she gets for being attached to something that can't defend itself, when she and her company have underhanded enemies all around.]

Did we get a hit on his GPS tag yet?

We have, but it's too wide of a ping to be very useful. They're keeping it somewhere around the harbor, or at least the collar.

[ It's been a struggle not to roll his eyes over this whole thing. To say anything would be skirting the line. Seto can't risk losing this job. But still... ]

This is getting to the point where the company could be at risk.

[It is stupid. It's stupid that someone would be so underhanded as to go after her pet and that on top of it, she's too attached to the damn thing to make an open mockery of the person trying to blackmail her for him. It would ruin theit reputation surely, but she wouldn't put retaliation past them.]

I know, we are just going to have to ignore it.

[She says finally, looking out the windows toward the harbor. She's always been able to see over the whole city from her office, but today even that just frustrates her.]

At least they will have wasted their damn time on this shoddy plan of theirs.

[She's trying to convince herself more than him, it seems.]

[ It's rare that she can actually shock him, but this one came close. He rocks forward a bit on his feet, as if to follow her, before he catches himself. ]

Is there anything else that needs to be secured so they don't try again?

[Perhaps something with this point-eared bastard?]

[ For those not familiar with Ruby/Red she's a werewolf. ]

A lot of bullshit could always be blamed on Hojo. Sephiroth clones? Hojo. Nibelheim suddenly not burnt down? Hojo.

Two Clouds in existence? Hojo.

But Cloud never expected to meet the one who shared his same face. From each strand of hair to the eyes to, well, everything. Except for some key differences.

This one could fly, if he wanted to. The black wings adorning his body were large and more than just for show. But his head had never quite been right since everything that had happened. The pain and experimentation, and the concentrated Mako energy had left his mind a mess.

It was hard enough to focus on the present.

Regarding his duplicate (or was he, himself the duplicate? Who knew?) with some amount of wariness - for that one was armed well beyond what he could even do - he took a moment to gather his thoughts.

"Never thought... this one would meet you."

He wasn't sure if the one before him was friend or foe. He could defend himself, if need be, but, he preferred not to. Even so, in the outskirts of one of the towns (what was it again? He didn't hear it easily...) he knew that no help would come easily if he needed it.

[Maybe Frisk becomes the narrator and the other person becomes the player… though, a blind narrator isn't too helpful.]

[Maybe a family/quirk swap situation?]

[It was sudden and over in an instant. A bright light that enveloped them in a blink of an eye before it was gone like it never happened.

Izuku felt his heart hammering for a moment, unsure of what had just happened. When he realizes that he's still standing and everything seemed to be okay, he starts to check himself over. Weird. Maybe he imagined what happened? He seemed perfectly fine and nothing seemed to be off.

He looks around him to make sure the others were fine, ready to approach them to ensure that everyone was as alright as him.] I-Is everyone okay?!

[How does she put this... she doesn't feel exactly like herself, but it's not as though she's suddenly somebody else. So that's good.

Bright lights like that could mean anything at all, since quirks are absolutely all over the place.

She checks herself over and...]

I'm fine! What about you, Deku-kun?

[He isn't sure what has changed, but he feels like something may be off. He just can't put his finger on why he feels that way. Maybe it'll come to him in a bit.

He smiles at her reassuringly.]

Yeah, I'm fine. I'm not sure what that was about, but it doesn't seem like it harmed us in anyway. We shouldn't assume that it didn't do anything though. There would be no reason for it otherwise.

[She feels... a little bit heavier somehow?

She nods.]

I'm glad you're okay! I've never seen anything like it before. So we should be cautious, right?

[Izuku is tapping his chin and pacing a little as he mutters to himself. He stops though after a moment.]

We definitely should stay cautious. Maybe keep track of our conditions in case they start to deteriorate. I wish that there were better ways to tell what might be wrong, if anything. I just don't want us to think that we're fine when we possibly aren't.

But as long as we're careful, I think we won't have to worry too much.

[ would you rather Finn on the Dark Side or Ren on the Light? ]

[ Damn. :|a They both have such potential. Dark side Finn more or less sticks with the Order and Light side Ben probably goes on to become a Jedi\ducks and hides with his Uncle?

Am tempted to just RNG it and let fate decide. ]
