When two people come together in a relationship, it's a beautiful thing. What can be wrong with love, right? Right? Except when the union is completely and totally wrong, for whatever reason. Then things can get a little messy.

How To Play
1. Comment with your character, listing their name, canon, etc, along with any preferences.
2. Comment around to others, using the RNG to determine the scenario. It doesn't have to be a lovey-dovey relationship, obviously. There can be hate, sorrow, lust, whatever.
3. Thread! Have fun! Do things!

Scenarios
1. Warring Factions: You belong to rival organizations, armies, clubs, etc. Whatever it is, you're not on the same team.

2. Soldiers on the Battlefield: Or maybe you are on the same side, but this is the wrong time and the wrong place. Plus, attachments cause distractions.

3. Bodyguard and the Guarded: Just like the movie with Kevin Costner! One of you has been hired to protect the other for some reason, and feelings are starting to grow. Are you a professional and cut things off, or do you give in?

4. Prince/ss and Knight: Similar to the above, but with a whole 'nother level of wrong...one of you is royal. Courtly love is okay; still, don't forget your place.

5. Enemies: This vendetta is personal, and you totally hate this person! Don't you? Perhaps you're maybe just rivals, or something as serious as superhero and villain.

6. Family: The ultimate taboo. This person is related to you, so there's no way you should indulge this desire, even if it's the most pure love there ever was.

7. Age Difference: The years between you should keep you both at bay, but it's easier said than done.

10. Teacher/Student: Teachers and students have a unique bond, and to corrupt it is a dangerous thing. Will you dare to act on emotions that could put you both in a destructive place?

11. Already Spoken For: One or both of you are already involved with someone else, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Just know that you can't have your cake and eat it, too.

12. Not Compatible: Your personalities or jobs make it so it's hard for you to be together.

13. Not Compatible...in Another Way: You're both different species, which means you're either afraid to take your relationship to a physical level or you can't because of differences in biologies.

14. Not Ready for Love: You took a vow (or celbacy, of chastity, of dedication), you're married to your work, or you just don't want to be involved with anyone. Too bad!

15. Rich and Poor: One of you has the money while the other is from more modest means. Can the 1% and the 99% ever be bedfellows, literally?

16. Hurt Before: Your heart has been broken, and maybe there's been no time to heal. But here you are.

Davy Jones had known of hunters in his many centuries; he gave them a wide berth because they usually caused him no personal trouble. Most of them being driven by their personal injuries, he even sympathized with some of them, especially in the light of what he knew was coming in a few years' time - heaven and hell were itching to tear this world apart, and if Davy were inclined to be on anyone’s side out of his whole wide family, it would be the humans who he’d once walked among.

Curiosity led him to the Winchesters, as it led him to so many things in his life. Davy watched them in silence and from the shadows. He decided that Dean Winchester was a bit of a hot-headed fool and most likely to be picked by Heaven - they loved the self-righteous; he decided Sam Winchester, the one who used his mind properly as a tool, would be the one Lucifer’s ilk would gun for. He knew which one he needed to protect more than the other and to try keeping from his fate.

Their relationship started with Davy saving an isolated Sam from a pair of vampires with a flare of magic. In truth, he probably should have let the vampires have a meal of him, letting Lucifer’s intended vessel fall and ruining all intentions for Armageddon. He’d watched Sam for too long, though, and he found himself fond of the giant. Davy gave him a wink and then melted into the shadows.

He appeared again a few weeks later, when the Winchesters were out camping on some case. Sam was on watch while Dean snored away. He gave the young hunter his name, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to find much from it; Davy Jones was just a name attached to something called the Sailor’s Devil. No one in his homeland had any record of him, bastard that he’d been. Davy chatted with Sam a while and then just as he’d done before, he melted into the shadows as Dean started to stir, though he let Sam know he’d come if called.

It went this way for weeks. Davy offered Sam help and knowledge and they chatted. Davy didn’t understand what he was getting out of it, other than trying to keep Sam from becoming what some assholes with wings and black eyes had decided he’d become. Maybe he’d just been on his own for too long and he liked a mortal who used his brain and wanted more than what life had given him.
Tonight, he decided to visit Sam in one of his dreams; he did it on occasion when Dean was spending the night on watch. It was easier to sneak up on him this way, starting off as nothing more than a voice in Sam’s ear.

“Have you missed me?”

There was still doubt in Sam's mind that "Davy Jones" was even who this guy really was. He was wary of him in general, which came with not knowing what his motives were. But the fact was he had saved and helped him on multiple occasions now. That went a ways in making Sam at least tolerant of him, if not distantly fond. He was appreciative.

The walking in on his dreams thing was a relief, actually. It provided a reprieve from nightmares and forced visions. Oddly enough, it meant sleeping more easily. Except the suddenness of his appearance always had a tendency to make Sam tense, on guard initially.

He doesn't answer the question. He's in a field under a blanket of overwhelming night sky and endless stars. It's a peaceful but humbling dream, makes Sam appreciate that there's so much in the universe outside of himself, yet he ached to know and understand it all, for answers.

The sensations in this particular dream -- and Sam knew he was dreaming, though he couldn't say how he knew -- were vivid. He could feel the scratch of grass through the fabric of his hoodie along his back as he laid there looking up, a prickly texture slightly damp with dew against the skin of his hands where his arms were crossed behind his head. There was a light breeze even that played at his hair. He breathed in and the scent was clean and crisp, all nature and open air.

"You could at least ask before invading my privacy like this, you know." He finally responded back to the currently disembodied voice tickling at his ear. There was no heat in his words though. It was a statement, matter-of-fact.

Davy chuckled right against Sam’s ear, his voice a low rumble like a storm in the distance of the night. He may have decided to impose himself a little more in the dream, because lightning flashed far in the distance within the belly of some black clouds that swirled out of the night. He wouldn’t let the clouds threaten them, but what could Davy say? He liked adding his own flavor to things.

“Be grateful I’m not the kind of creature that asks before it gets in your head.” Davy, however, decided to quit the disembodied act and he materialized over Sam’s head, looking down at the young hunter with bright blue eyes. “The ones that have to ask are the ones you should never trust.”

Once upon a time, he might have been an angel, a life he only ever remembered as one might remember a story in a book, with a distance between himself and the characters on the page. Now he was what he was, and he had no love left for his siblings now or then. Davy moved to settle down next to Sam, sitting with his arms resting over his folded knees.

“Besides, who else would give you a reprieve from your brother’s witty conversation?” Davy eyed Sam with a look of amusement.

An annoyed look crossed Sam's face as he saw the thick storm clouds rolling in, the expression directed at Davy when he appeared, like he knew exactly where they were coming from.

He shook his head, upper torso rising from the grass so he was leaning back on his elbows. "I'll try to keep that in mind," he said in response to the advice about other telepathic creatures, a hint of amusement to his voice. Trust. Right.

At the mention of Dean, a twitch of a smile pulled at the corner of Sam's mouth. He felt a little defensive of his brother after that question. "Hey, he may not be the world's most scintillating conversationalist, but he's always made me laugh." And, admittedly, roll his eyes, both in equal measure. Being siblings though that just kind of came with the territory.

"So. You have something important you wanna tell me this time or you just being a voyeur of my dreams for your own enjoyment? Which, by the way, is a little on the creepy side." And yet, again, no anger; he may have been bothered by it at one point (or at least a small amount of bothered), but not anymore.

Didn't stop her from thinking about it. A lot.

It also didn't stop her from talking to him, because he still had a lot of information to share, and she was too proud to let him know he'd hurt her, even if it was painfully obvious all the same.

Still, there's been a noticeable chill hanging over their communications since their little spat. Judy is well aware that she's not going about this in the most mature way possible, especially since she and Ezio certainly never made any sort of committment to each other regardless of what happened in that cabin, but she just... well, she just needs some time to let her feelings take their course here.

And now here she is, standing in his way with her hands on her hips, determined to be as much of a pain in his ass as he is in hers. ]

I've been after these people for half a year, I'm coming with you, or you are coming with me to the station.

[ Ezio fucked up. He fucked up hard.

There are a thousand ways he's apologized since that day, weeks ago by this point, and every last one has never made it past the tip of his tongue. What would he even say to her about it? "You've got your in with the most celebrated member of the local police," a few of his more pragmatic friends had advised. Anything more than these stiff, cool rendezvous as they passed intel back and forth was simply out of the question.

Claudia told him, quite frankly, that he was a jackass.

He should just let it go. Stop letting this farmgirl officer occupy his thoughts, his dreams; just keep up the status quo, keep his head down, and keep working.

Tonight's a big night for him, the culmination of a year's efforts to undermine and dismantle this particular branch of human traffickers. Mr Arms Dealer had only been a mid-level boss, a gateway to the bigger prize: the means of reaching the very top. Nothing should have gotten in his way, but as Ezio stands in this seedy little alley, not a few blocks from the high-rise he's meant to hit tonight, it seems that Judy is the one to try. ]

I do not have time for this, [ he hisses, his face half-hidden in the shadows of his dark hood. ]

[ She hisses back. It's absolutely infuriating how he sometimes acts as if the police force is just something to avoid or on occasion use as a cover rather than an actual organisation meant to serve justice. ]

Do you think this uniform is just some sort of clown suit? This is my job, not yours.

[ He has no business sticking his nose into any of this, and the only reason she's letting him is because he happens to be good enough at it to be useful. ]
