[Somehow, in spite of his very questionable blood status, Trowa has ended up in the Death Eater's ranks as a spy for the Order with Wufei. They'd faked a violent fallout with their three other school friends to make it more believable and now it's the two of them in the biggest pit of vipers outside of the Slytherin common room.

Still, it could be worse. Trowa's always slipped in and out of places he wasn't necessarily allowed to be, so he may as well put that skill to some use. Having two spies in the Death Eater's ranks means they can cover for each other if necessary (it usually isn't) but it also means that if one of them blows their cover, the other either has to turn on him or go down with him. While he hopes it doesn't come to that, Trowa does not plan to allow the Order to lose both of them in one go.

That is, if the Order didn't finish them off themselves first. Not everyone knows that they're spies, for good reason- they won't do much good if a spy in their own ranks learns of their true allegiance- but that means there were no punches pulled in their latest scuffle.

Trowa's picked up all sorts of experience healing injuries while spending his summers performing at the circus, not to mention all the (admittedly much less life-threatening) fights they'd gotten into at school, so picking shards of glass from a window that had gotten shattered in the fight out of Wufei's arm isn't unusual to him. He's very methodical about it. He didn't come out of the fight unscathed either, but he was ignoring his own scrapes and bruises for now. The gash on his temple isn't bleeding that badly.]

[ Christmas has left the dorms almost completely empty, a lot more quiet than they'd normally be with the school full of other students, and really, that's just fine by Steve. It leaves him with time to read without getting distracted by the few friends he has or hours to spend either practicing some of the spells he hasn't quite gotten the hang of before crawling into bed with his sketchbook. He fills the pages with so much more when there's not a sound to be heard, preferring the old by-hand method, and most nights, he falls asleep face-first on a half-finished drawing of a Chinese Fireball or one of the creatures found deep in the Forbidden Forest. (Like he hadn't actually ventured in there before he'd hit his 3rd year.)

But not everyone has gone, and he's kind of glad for it, though it usually means the students who stay behind don't have much to go back to. And maybe he's gotten a little too close to the other boy over the last year, but there's nothing unusual about it. There's nothing odd about the way Steve waits for him to come back to the main room so they can wrestle around on the floor in front of the fireplace whenever they get into an argument on jinxes over fists, and there's certainly nothing strange about winding up in Andyr's bed, drowsy with sleep or too exhausted to move after roughhousing. Most of the time, when they're the only ones around, this is the kind of routine they follow, and Steve's happier for it, wiggling his way deep under the blankets before Andyr can even make a comment on it. That, and sometimes, just sometimes, it's easier to share body heat than wake up too chilled to move. ]

What're you doing tomorrow? [ He asks it after rolling onto his side to look at him, realizing just how close this adventure of theirs was coming to an end. Almost the new year, and then, everyone would come back to finish out the school year. They'd graduate and... Steve swallows, eyes oddly round as he looks at him over the corner of his borrowed blanket. ]
