Kabe-don (壁ドン)

Kabe-don is a romantic trope seen in various shoujo anime and manga. Kabe means “wall” and don is a Japanese onomatopoeia for the thud of hitting a wall. Usually, this is where a tough (sometimes tsundere) character backs another character against the wall, resulting the latter pounding the wall with their fist with one or both arms. It invokes a cool feeling, making the one being pinned against the wall go all doki-doki like this girl here-- EXTREME KABE-DON!!!

[ Her voice is insistent, despite her shorter height. Her eye peering through her parted hair is focused on his. Her hand holds her firmly on the wall, with little space between them.

The distance between them seems to be approaching zero.

Even her smell, that of freshly laundered clothes and sweet flowers, seems to fill the gap between them until it feels like there's nothing there at all. ]

Subaru...kun. [ Rem repeats herself, her own breath frozen in her chest. ]

[... This was bad. They were close enough for him to be able to smell her, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing when he thought about it. And really, it's not that new either. They were usually this close, but he's never really focused on it before now. Huh.

... It just kind of gets his heart racing in his chest though. He looks down into her eyes, before getting embarrassed and looking away.]

I-Is there something on my face? Er... y... you're really close, Rem.

[ This is good. She's close enough that she can smell him, which actually was a good thing. And really, it's not that new either. It didn't matter how close they were, she could always focus on on his smell, with her heightened senses.

...It just kind of gets her heart racing through her chest though. She looks up almost desperately into his eyes, disappointed to see him turn away. ]

Osomatsu is wincing from the attack(?), both eyes squeezed shut and arms crossed over his chest. very slowly, he opens one eye, then the other, and the dust begins to settle. okay, that was pretty terrifying.

he rises and grabs one of Jyuushi's ankles, yanking off his slipper. and then.
