BIG DAMN ADVENTURE MEME So you wanna go on an adventure? Let's help you out. It's time to save the world! Or not. Something's gone horribly wrong and it's your job to fix it! Or, you know, make it worse. We're not the cops. You could fight a dragon, cure a disease, or rule with an iron fist. The world's your oyster. Tag in with your name and series, post your preferences, and play away! We're running out of time, adventurers!

LOCATIONS 1. FANTASY Sorcery, demons, monsters, knights in shining armor, magic rings you need to throw into a volcano... 2. FUTURE Technology is rampant. Maybe you have to overthrow your dystopian government or learn how to feel again. 3. SPACE Will you explore the final frontier or are you in a galaxy far far away? Those synthetics don't look very friendly. 4. MODERN Sometimes the scariest things are right outside our front door. 5. SUPERHEROES So you wanna be a superhero? Do you have what it takes to save the day? 6. APOCALYPSE The world's already ended. You're just picking up the pieces. SCENARIOS 1. OVERTHROW An evil empire is calling the shots. A corrupt government is making your friends disappear. Fix it. 2. CONSPIRACY No one believes you but your best friend, but things are going wrong and someone in particular is behind it. 3. MEDICAL A disease is killing off people at a horrifying rate and you're trying to find a cure. 4. ZOMBIES Holy shit, is that person EATING someone? You have to escape the zombies, and FAST. Remember: aim for the head. 5. EXPLORATION There's nothing pressing about to kill everything, but you're exploring new territories. Maybe you'll find a new threat. 6. DOWN TIME A break between missions. Heal, regroup, and take care of yourselves. 7. WE NEED WHAT? You're looking for the item to end everything. The BFG, the one ring, the conduit. Whatever it is, you have to find it first. 8. WE MIGHT DIE TOMORROW It's time for the final battle. Are you ready? Are your friends, troops, loved ones? Make your speech or find someone to spend your last night with. 9. MY ARCH NEMESIS You know who the villain is. So does everyone else. They're the Ganon, the Sauron, it doesn't matter. You have to win. 10. THE WORLD WE'RE SAVING HATES US You're trying to save the world but everyone hates you; you're doing it anyway because you need to, it's the right thing to do even if no one cares if you live or die. 11. WE HATE THE WORLD WE'RE SAVING You hate EVERYONE. You hate the world and wish it would go down in flames but you live here too, or you have to because nothing you do to stop trying works. Whatever. 12. WHY WOULD I SAVE IT? You're the villain in any of the above scenarios and then some! Go wild! As always, these are just suggestions. Make up anything you want, as long as you're having fun!

[ Seth wasn't supposed to be outing himself to anyone - it didn't matter if it was to Earth's resident alien paragon or not; his people only revealed themselves to their Earthling cousins when they were sure said Earthlings were ready to join them up in the stars.

But this was different - he'd surely face censure from the rest of his tribe ship and probably the 85.6409% of the Confederacy no matter the circumstances, but they would at least commute his punishment in light of what was coming. His sensors had picked up a massive surge of tachyonic energy that'd wreak havoc on the System once it manifest. It wasn't the first time this had happened, so the Confederacy had set up stations on various points of the System to deal with it. The only problem was that the master controls were locked away in a pocket dimension on Earth, and the keys were with the Confederacy. There was a back door, so to speak, but to make it work, he'd need a partner.

And only one person on the planet was suitable for the job, as far as he could tell.

It wasn't hard finding a range of frequencies he could transmit that Superman should be able to hear at any point on the Earth's surface. They'd carry a message and give the hero a way to pinpoint him in the house he was renting out in Missoula. ]

Hey- don't panic when you hear this, you're not crazy. I'm broadcasting at frequencies I'm hoping you'll be able to hear. My name's Seth, by the way, and I need your help. Earth's in trouble, but there's a way to fix it.

[ Working at the Ministry has been business as usual the whole time he's been there: internship things mostly with his superiors guiding him through the ropes. Sometimes he passes his father in the halls, sometimes he passes his aunt: but mostly he keeps to his own department and to himself. It's easier that way, though working in Magical Games and Sports means most people care a lot about his mum.

That's all right. Still, over the past year things have been getting strange and it bothers Albus.

There have been people - outspoken, important people - demanding that wizarding society in Britain stop being so insular. It's what most of the younger generations want, but the older and more traditional sorts are stopping it at every pass. Measures get put up and shot down and it's happened several times.

He's suspicious and so are his family members working in Ministry: Harry's rarely there in person but Hermione is and sees everything he does. It's just that no one else does and bureaucracy ties her hands, fierce as she is. If he brings up a concern to anyone else it gets immediately dismissed.

But he hears whispers when no one thinks he's around. One day he can't take it anymore and he goes to find Scorpius when he's on break, pulling him into one of the lifts - an empty one, thankfully - and pushing a few buttons randomly so they'll be traveling a bit. ]

[ Exodus has his orders. Keep the prisoner contained, and defend against any rescue attempts that may come. They will come, Magneto warned him: no matter how much the boy might look like one of them, he is not one of them, and indeed is not even a boy at all. On that point, he has no doubt; he saw the analysis of the prisoner's physiology and Avalon dated him with 99.7% accuracy to be over a thousand years old.

Be that as it may, though, he still has questions. Questions he has no place asking, because he is Avalon's guardian and no more, but questions that still burn within his breast. 800 years ago when he was still just a mortal man and Apocalypse had found him, the ancient tyrant had told him mankind's true enemy would come from the stars, and one day he would be called to stand against them. If ever he doubted that madman's prediction, helping Magneto claim Avalon had dispelled him of it. The space station is theirs now, thanks to the combination of his raw power and Magneto's uncanny genius, but neither he nor Magneto truly built this place. Another people did, a people with human shape and human sensibilities but with technology and ability far beyond humanity's current level.

Apocalypse believed that those from the stars would be mankind's enemy, and so does Magneto, but he wonders. He was the one who detected him after all, on his travels as Magneto's emissary, searching for those who would join them on Avalon. Scanning for mutants he had found instead a dead spot, an area where his heightened senses all failed him, an area that soon proved to be a living thing. Something that walked and lived like a human, but was utterly impervious to even his strongest telepathic probes. He reported the anomaly to Magneto, who had sent another mutant to investigate further before ordering the being's capture. And here they both are now.

He ought not even be here, standing just outside the prisoner's cell, studying him through a door that is currently translucent from the outside and opaque from within. Like everything else on Avalon it is malleable, capable of shifting into any form or physical property with a simple telepathic command. Being part of the team that captured this being, he saw his powers in action. He cannot read the alien's mind but he can imagine how frustrating it must be, to be trapped in so small a space. ]

You could have run. [ He is inside the cell before he can stop himself from the rash action, not even projecting himself, but actually physically porting from one side of the door to the other. ] I saw it, when our speedster tried to catch you. He could not keep up at first, and then he could. You held back.

[ He has no way to be certain of that, but it feels right, just as it feels right for him to be here. Something else is going on here. Something they are all missing, even him... maybe even Magneto. ]

[And here, Jolyne just kept mumbling under her breath as she just stared throughout the cave. With something rummaging about in the background, she couldn't help but wonder just how she got into this situation. To think that it all started with her finding a map in some weird bookstore and gathering a bunch of friends to figure out if there was a huge treasure nearby.

Of course, one thing led to another and now here she was. Trying to find some kind of weapon to knock out the creature, she needed to think of something and fast!]
