texting meme You’ve got your TFLN, you’ve got your sexting, now here’s the meme for all those gen texts, phone calls, voicemails, pictures of your cats, and whatever else your little heart can come up with, because who doesn't like a little old fashioned friendly texting. (Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.) instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, include preferences, a start, absolutely nothing or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat.

( there's a small part of him that doesn't want to remain home. he should go out, have a good time, and not become some useless sop. and yet...

yet, he remains home, dressed casually ( for him ) and drinking wine from a deep glass. after all these years he's allowed to have a shadow of angst cast over him if he likes. it gives him more allure.

magnus knows when alec arrives, though doesn't move from his spot by the large window. the only indication he's paying attention is his head is angled toward the door and the small flicker of a smile at the corner of his mouth. if he lifts a hand with a small twitch of his fingers to beckon alec over, well, it's not imagined. )

[Alec stands just inside the door for a moment, watching him at the window before moving to join him, his hand brushing against Magnus's.]

Took me a little longer to get away than I planned.

( in all the years he's been alive and had magic coursing through his blood, there's nothing that feels quite the same as the spark he gets when alec touches him. so much for not turning into some romantic fool.

magnus shifts himself closer, the tips of his fingers brushing lightly over alec's arm, up to his shoulder, along the slope of his neck, until he can cup his cheek. the touch is fleeting, but enough to make a point. )

Fifteen minutes is fashionably late; thirty is just terribly rude.

( he moves around alec in a whorl of green silk to seat himself on the couch, sprawled but not quite so. though his tone is light, even bordering on uncaring, it's obvious it's the opposite. )

[Fleeting or not, Alec leans into it, his expression shifting for a moment from neutral to something more vulnerable, before his control slides back into place.

And he turns when Magnus moves, watching him settle.] For the moment, at least, things are quiet.

Hm. Maybe we have very different definitions of civil conversation.

I think the main difference there is I have someone clean my apartment because I'm away from it for most of the week and don't have the time to do so. I also pay her very generously, rather than just making her do it. I think I'd have to sign off on something like that before it airs, so don't go holding your breath.

Too many weak women being controlled by cocky men with a complex. Just isn't something that I related to enough anymore to watch it play out on TV.
