[She shifts her arms slightly, touching the tip of his nose with hers, giving him an Eskimo kiss.]

Did you make any resolutions?

[dawnsknight]

[He turns his head slightly, rubbing his nose against hers.]

...Some. Did you?

[nowpantsoff]

[Aww. She had to smile at that.]

Mhmm~ I made a lot for this year. [a beat] A couple of include you, actually.

[dawnsknight]

[He raises an eyebrow, smirking a little.]

Oh? Do I even want to know?

[nowpantsoff]

Hmm, [a quick peck on the corner of his mouth.] I think you'll like them very much.

[dawnsknight]

Hmm.

[He leans down, chuckling slightly.] Guess, I'll have to let you surprise me then.

[nowpantsoff]

Oh, I will. Count on it.

[Another kiss to the lips before she pulls away. Her hand reaches out, lacing their fingers together.]

[She lets out a hum of contentment while watching the fireworks fly up to the sky.] It's kinda amazing. A whole year has passed...

[He debates with himself for just a moment whether to pull her close again and steal one last kiss, but then decides against it. Instead he he squeezes her hand lightly when she lances their fingers and follows her gaze out to the fireworks in the sky.]

Yeah... it's almost hard to believe. It seemed like much, much less than a year.

[nowpantsoff]

Yeah. A lot has changed...

[She squeezes his hand back, her gaze shifting from looking at the sky to him, an affectionate smile on her face.]

Did you think we would be together like this?

[dawnsknight]

What, a year ago...?

[He shakes his head, chuckling slightly. If he is honest being with her like this still is kind of surreal.]

That was then though. [Right now, he has no doubts when it comes to them. Maybe, maybe just about himself, but that is nothing new, is it?]

[nowpantsoff]

[She laughs in kind, moving closer to his side so that she can rest her head on his shoulder, letting go of his hand in order to wrap her arm around his waist. It was surreal but she wouldn't have it any other way.]

Yeah, it was. [No doubts about them over here either. Aww. She'll always help him through that.] I'm... really glad I met you, Riku.

[dawnsknight]

[He shifts to draw her closer and carefully settle his chin on top of her head. He probably won't say it out loud, but it feels good just to stand here and feel her presents so close to him.]

...So am I.

[nowpantsoff]

[a nuzzle and then:]

Maybe I could tell you one resolution...

[dawnsknight]

[He hums under his breath as he feels that nuzzle.]

Oh~? Do tell!

[nowpantsoff]

[She turns her head in order to give him a kiss on the cheek.]

... To make you happier this year than the last.

[dawnsknight]

[Excuse him. as he. just. stares.

And well. starts to blush. because. uhm.

Well, as said, excuse him. He'll probably be speechless for another few minutes.]

[nowpantsoff]

[Aww Riku. That's really adorable. Shiki giggles, giving him another kiss on cheek.]

Hey. You okay there?

[dawnsknight]

[He's slowly coming out of it now. Though his cheeks are just maybe getting a little more red-ish?

And yeah. Maybe he's not quite meeting her eyes now.]

Uhm... yeah. I guess.

[nowpantsoff]

[Shiki wraps her other arm around him, giving him a gentle squeeze, resting her head on his shoulder.]

I mean... every word, Riku. I do want to you happier.

[dawnsknight]

[He looks down at her, his face unreadable for a moment before he reaches up, one hand brushing against her cheek until he leans over to kiss it softly.]

Thanks. Though... I am pretty happy right now.

[nowpantsoff]

[She looks up at him, cheeks flushing pink. Shiki leans her forehead on his, the tips of their noses touching.]

Good. [Eskimo kiss] I'm glad...

[dawnsknight]

[He keeps smiling, cheeks still slightly flushed as he leans down again, this time to brush his lips over hers for just a moment.]

[nowpantsoff]

[She grins, kissing him back.]

I love you, Riku.

[dawnsknight]

[He chuckles lowly - his heart still jumps just a little whenever he hears her say these words - as he closes his eyes and bows down to lean his forehead against hers again.]

...Love you too.

[nowpantsoff]

[She touches the tips of their noses together before pulling him in for another kiss. This looks like a start of a wonderful new year together as a couple. That's for sure.]
