[Donna can't remember how long its been since they'd last done this. Definitely more than a year, maybe more than a couple. Between the group of them, it's difficult enough to schedule a dinner out, let alone a weekend or night away. But somehow they've made it work. Dinah is watching Lian for the weekend, and Linda is on full time twins duty. Garth will be joining them at the small island later that night, and Roy and Wally are due to arrive in around two hours, long before the sun sets. Kory and Raven had been busy with the younger Titans, and Gar and Vic were off on a mission on the other side of the planet, but all four of them had encouraged the others not to cancel, assuring them that they would make the next time around.

To the shock of everyone, it's Dick who's somehow miraculously ready to leave the earliest and Donna had foregone flight entirely in order to join him on the small speedboat that they took out to their meeting place. Even she had been a little surprised to find out that Dick could make the full weekend, but she shouldn't have been. Even with how busy Gotham kept him, Dick had never once forgotten his Titan family.

The warmth of the thought is stronger than the guilt for her doubt, and she glances over at him now as they dock the boat and trade grins. Two nights on the island just the five of them, just like they used to whenever the team was in rough shape or needed the getaway. It isn't the sort of luxury they can afford now, and still here they are, just like old times. It fills her with a heartwarming ache as they finish taking care of the boat and make their way up the sand to a thick copse of apple trees—trees that Kory had planted more than six years ago when they had been nothing more than saplings.

Can you believe how long its been since we started coming here? [Donna reaches for an apple, fingers gliding across the smooth skin and smiling at the memories that come along with it.]
