THE CAPTIVITY MEME

You've been captured -- or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.

 

Both smut and non-smut scenarios are possible. If you don't want to play smut, please indicate so in the title line of your tag.

 

1. Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.

2. Someone else tags in and uses RNG to generate a number between 1 and 9. The second character is holding the first character captive now.

3. ???

4. Profit!

 

Scenarios

 

1. For their own good. Does this person really think they could make it on their own? It's a big, scary world out there, and you need to protect them from it, whether they like it or not.

 

2. For the good of society. Forget protecting this person -- it's your duty to protect the world from them! Maybe they committed a terrible crime, or maybe they were falsely condemned, but it's your job to keep them locked up where they can't do any more harm.

 

3. Because they're not well. How's your bedside manner? Whether you're Florence Nightingale or Mildred Ratched, you're in the position of ministering to the mentally ill. Maybe this person genuinely needs your help, or maybe you're just turning a blind eye to their true sanity.

 

4. For the money. Higher aims? What higher aims? This person is your meal ticket, and they're staying put until their loved ones pay up.

 

5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.

 

6. Because they're cute and fluffy. Who's a cutesy wutesy? They are! Yes, they are! This person is your pet now. Maybe they're a different species from you, or maybe you just don't care that you're both people. Maybe you're even an alien zookeeper looking after a new acquisition.

 

7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're your property, and you decide their fate.

 

8. For the lulz. Hey, what's a little bondage between friends? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.

 

9. Choose a scenario, or combine several.

Hands wrapped around Konoka as soon as she entered the apartment, the door quietly closing behind her and The Stalk silently descending.

Konoka's skimpy clothes were quickly discarded, leaving her naked again. The Stalk kissed Konoka's head as she hugged the nude human girl to her large arachnid body. "Did you enjoy yourself?"

Her hands were already working to untie the threads that constricted Konoka's body, unwinding the invisible threads that secured two dildos that stuffed Konoka's holes, toys that she'd been wearing most of the day. They slid out with no effort, lubricated with excessive amounts of Konoka's juices.

[Defeating the human was even easier than Papyrus had ever expected, and on the whole, he was grateful for it! Everybody knew the stories of the war, after all... But none of that mattered now!

The important thing was that he was an excellent host. After knocking them out, he'd laid the human comfortably on the (admittedly, smaller than he remembered) guest bed. He'd provided food and drink, to be sure their needs were met while they were his (slightly unwilling) guest. And he'd even locked the door, to make sure they didn't wander away or get hurt by any of the other, less-friendly monsters! No, he just needed to wait until Undyne arrived, and he could turn them over to her to be...

Maybe humanity, and earth itself, were always something of an acquired taste to those who could choose between worlds to visit and live in. Since the species went more or less off the deep end and decimated both themselves and life on their planet, though, it's likely no one's idea of a vacation spot. The climate is variable and chaotic; storms ravage much of both hemispheres, and plant life is limited to small pockets far away from nuclear fallout. There are cities that still stand, but they're massive ghost towns, and they've seen the business end of bombs too. If a person were to walk through one with a geiger counter, the noise would get very irritating very quickly. Meanwhile, outside these danger zones, it's all desert; heaped dust and sand or hard-packed dry earth. The rumor amongst the handful of people that still remain alive is that the great oceans all evaporated in the nuclear attacks. This is not precisely true, but much of the water has been refrozen at the poles, and the remainder is superconcentrated saltwater that pools in places where the seas were once deepest. Little to nothing can live there. It's not pretty any longer.

Neither are humans. There's a wildness to all of them; desperation will do that, but some are more frightening--or more disgusting, perhaps--than others. In the wilds of what was once Australia, there are gangs and clans of various names, types, and traditions. Some are simply rough-handed and violent. Others are half-insane, torturers or cannibals or cultists. The group Loki has had the misfortune to fall in with are more or less average, neither the worst the Wasteland has to offer nor the best. Some sort of illness is passing through them perpetually, and the worst-afflicted spend their time covered in bandages and patched armor as if to hold their bodies together against rot. The healthier specimens wear rusted and spiked metal.

They are not kind to their prisoners, but it's a perfunctory, careless cruelty, as if they have better things to do than mete out pain. They have better things to do than provide clean water, as well. The handful of captives around him seem used to thirst, and braced to be used for salvage or mining work; all look bleak and worn thin. They're all in the outskirts of a small, ugly, town, in what might have once been a parking garage that's sunk beneath the sand.

He won't have been there long before the fighting begins. Gunfire is the first herald, and then louder explosions outside the lair. The scent of burnt black powder is distinct, mingled with the smell of sulfur, NOS, aerosol and blood. The cells and living quarters are quick to empty out as the fight goes on. Nearly anyone who is free and healthy enough to leave does so, whether they're going to fight or whether they're just running in fear. The ones who are left behind pay Loki no mind, and before long there's a lull of quiet as the battle moves off or ends.

When signs of life pick up once more, it's because of a new group of Wastelanders filtering into the sub-basement to see what, precisely, they've conquered. These are almost all men, healthier and stronger than the previous gang, but wearing no armor. Rather, they're painted white, with black around the eyes, shirtless to show off elaborate scarification on their arms and chests. They're obnoxiously loud when they flood in, exuberant from the battle they've just won, but after the few minutes it takes them to decide there's no one in here worth killing, they quiet subtly and part ranks as a woman enters.

She's on the tall side for her sex and species, and there's no white paint on her, unlike her men. Her forehead is blackened with something semi-iridescent, maybe just grease and ground mica, and she wears a black scarf that seems to be a badge of rank. One of the men asks her a soft question, and calls her 'Boss', and she touches his shoulder with her left hand, a wicked-looking metal prosthesis that starts just below her elbow. Her expression and body language say she's in charge.

"...If there's going to be a counterattack, it will come from below. They build their lairs like termite hills. Keep eyes on all directions, and have Spanner and Toggle look for hidden tunnels while we deal with salvage," she orders. Then she turns to survey the prisoners, grim-faced, and she's quick to note Loki.

He looks the healthiest. That makes him a person of interest, but rather than address him, she moves a few steps closer and just looks at him a moment, as if she's trying to read him. Or maybe she's just expecting a reaction.
