Everyone has to start somewhere
![]() Whether it's because of your age or because you never had the time or desire before, this is your first relationship. Everything is so new, you're just testing the waters, and you definitely don't want to move too fast. You don't want to screw this up because, admit it or not, you're a little bit crazy for this person. How to Play

let me know if this works!
There were a lot of variables, but when it came to Aoi he just had to push past them and try. She had such zeal and passion about what she did that it was borderline impossible not to admire her, to say nothing of her fondness for the best food group on the pyramid. He wasn't actually sure if he stood half a chance - their interactions were mostly limited to sharing notes or homework, the occasional chitchat before class started - but...
"Sink or swim" wasn't a phrase he was wild over, but it fit.
So he waits for her one day after school - it's no secret that she uses the pool on an almost daily basis, so he loiters about the hallway near it, hands crammed in his pockets as stares off into space and mumbles to himself. ]
Let's see... "How YOU doin'?" No, no, too cliche, uh... "Fancy seeing you here"? God no, you idiot, she goes to this school, of course she's here what does that even-- "Swimming, huh? That's a pretty pool hobby".
[ A grimace, as he bites his bottom lip. ]
... I'm doomed.

It's so fucked up that Badou actually had to pretend that he wanted anything to do with this guy! Every single time he worked on this twisted, messed up, atrocity of a job, he regretted even agreeing to take it on in the first place.
Seriously, why did he agree to something that took so much fucking mental effort?! Badou wasn't selling himself short here, no, he has the brains, the looks, the skill, agility, physique, whateverthefuck to do a damn good job at anything, but seriously, now he had to pretend and act?! Now that was just so hard. He sucked at pretending not that Badou would ever admit to sucking at anything. Other than... nevermind, dirty mind.
And so was it even weird or surprising that Badou ended up confused about Soubi? Like what was up with the way he had a bit of a bounce in his walk as he headed down street to Soubi's door? He was just here for really hard to get information that required him to work up some sort of trust between Soubi and him. His client requested the simplest thing - just for him to destroy a couple of photographs that Soubi had taken - but who knew that the guy was such a paranoid psycho who protected his images like the were sheets of solid fucking gold?!?
Badou huffed. He still had no idea where they were ... even though he had spent more than three days - SEVENTY TWO HOURS (!!!) - with the guy. Added up in total, of course, no one could handle Badou Nails for three consecutive days. So that was something like a couple of weeks of active pursuit. It meant having coffees, having dinners, watching a movie, smoking together, talking together, spending so much fucking time together. Ugh. Badou hated it. Badou loved it. Badou didn't know how the fuck he even felt about the whole damn situation anymore.
Like, now he was excited about finally reaching Soubi's door. It was great that they lived such a short distance from each other, but the walks were starting to feel so long as Badou practically buzzed with anticipation to see Soubi. Damn idiot's face even made him want to smile. Seriously.
What. The. Fuck.
His knuckles rapped on the door.
"Goddamn Soubi, I ain't got all day!"

"Where you bouncing on the way here?" Pro tip, he was watching. Soubi was always watching.
Hiding was something he knew well. He'd hidden from the other fighting pairs that wanted him dead ever since Seimei came into his life. Then again when Seimei was gone. This guy? He wasn't as good as he thought he was. It was fun, playing with the detective. The other wasn't a bad guy per say. Soubi wasn't even really sure what he was looking for, since Seimei had left him with a number of things that someone might want back.
"It was cute." Soubi grinned, waiting for more yelling.

"No!! Shut up!" Denial, he was always good at that. "Hell no! Who the fuck bounces when they walk?! Not me," and his arms crossed over his chest for a brief moment before he was snatching a hand out, quickly stealing Soubi's smoke and putting it between his own lips. He'd put his out a second ago, but now he had a new one - Soubi's.
"You stalkin' me or something?" A puff of smoke with a roll of one emerald green eye.

"Me? Never. That might be creepy." Soubi slightly grinned as she tapped his cig and placed it in his mouth. He was graceful as he spoke, like the movements were just as easy for him as breathing. "Inhale." Soubi said before taking a step closer to Badou, the ends of their lights touching. If Badou inhaled at all, Soubi would be able to light the end of his. Of course it was easy to make someone do that when you run your hand across the small of their back to pull them closer too.

"Alright, alright..." Another puff before two slender fingers brought his smoke away from his lips for a brief moment. A kiss to Soubi's jawline as his other arm wrapped around Soubi's shoulders.
"Missed you too, idiot." And his cigarette was back in his mouth. Damn, Badou almost felt guilty for being with Soubi like this. But it felt so nice to be close to the other. Shit. His eyebrows furrowed a little as he thought about it.

"Really? Then why are you frowning?" Honestly the only down side to playing this game was that his friend Kio was sulking his head off. The other wanted Soubi badly but it wasn't the same as with this red head. Soubi let go of the other and ducked out of the arm on his shoulder. He moved to look out over railing, placing his cig between his lips again to take a long drag.

But he didn't wake up and no terrible accidents befell him on his way either, so he arrived there - much earlier than the time they had agreed on because he would surely never make her wait for him - after all. The sea was a tumble of waves and thankfully the view combined with the fresh smell of sea air calmed him and his steadily beating heart.
So he stood there, waiting, waiting for her, not minding if she showed up on time or not. He knew for a fact that he would wait for her forever if he needed to. He just hoped he wouldn't have to, that she hadn't changed her mind.]

She walks with purpose, no embarrassment whatsoever and no mistakes in her movements. She's moving quickly, but she isn't rushing too much, and she keeps her grace. It's a beautiful day and Asuka wants to enjoy it, and more importantly, she wants to give a shot at enjoying it with him.
When Manjoume gets into view, Asuka waves at him and smiles. It's been a while since she's seen him. She's glad to see him.]
Long time no see. My goodness, you've grown.
