Welcome to My World!

Welcome to My World!
It's a whole new world!  And how lucky, you've got a friend(?) who has the responsibility of helping you live through it.  Are you a Super Saiyan getting used to the idea of demons in feudal Japan?  Or maybe you're an angel who's making friends with a pretty sweet alien.  Maybe you just come from an alternate version of earth and need a local to help you overcome culture shock.  Thank goodness you're not alone!

Here's how it works:
1. Leave a post.
You will be the guide to any new arrivals to your world!
2. Comment to posts. You are stuck in the world belonging to the person you've tagged. (i.e., if you tag Naruto, you'll be in his world with him as your guide)
3. SHENANIGANS.  Thread out any scenario! Maybe various scenarios!  Write an epilogue when you're done or something. Use this meme to launch a million AUs for the musebox.  DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE.

[...Yeah, hang on, he and Sneasel are on it.

Directed towards his other Pokémon:]
Stay with Moro. [...Yeah, they're pretty chill with this plan. Off to go hunting with Sneasel!]

[Moro just relaxes in the water, saving up her strength for her incoming meal.]
tsuntrader: (Whatever.)

[It's not long before he and Sneasel come back, dragging several freshly killed Pokémon for Moro to eat. There might be a few too many, but that's fine; whatever Moro doesn't eat, Feraligatr and Gyarados can feast on. If there's not enough for Feraligatr and Gyarados, they're at a lake.]

[Moro will smell the kills, pulling herself upright. Her wound seems to have slowed down in its bleeding, at least.

Scooping up a girafarig in her jaws, she crunches it in a single bite and swallows the corpse whole. The process is repeated for the remaining kills.]
tsuntrader: (What was that?)

[...Oh. Well.] Should we find more?

This will do.

[She at least sits up, supporting herself on her front legs.]

I cannot call this lake home. There are too many humans.

[Damn tourists.]

You'll be hard pressed to find a place that isn't frequented by humans. People here travel anywhere and everywhere.

Then I will put it this way - if humans are a part of the territory, then I will hunt them.
tsuntrader: (Hmph.)

[personal profile] tsuntrader 2012-02-01 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
[...Surely he can think of somewhere scarcely traveled by people.] ...You could always stay at Mt. Silver.
tsuntrader: (...Wait,what?)

There's a cold mountain range south-east of here. The Pokémon there are tough, and only the strongest trainers decide to train there. It has several hot springs with healing properties, so some people with bad injuries travel there to bathe in them. The Pokémon league is to the east of it, which holds major battles and events, but if you can steer clear of that, I'm pretty sure it's the least visited place in the region.

...You could always try heading north of here, too. I don't know much about it, but I'm pretty sure it's a bunch untouched land. People might fly over it or travel through it by foot to reach another region, but I've never seen anyone do it. [We have ships for that.]

[personal profile] biteoffherhead 2012-02-01 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Moro turns her gaze southeast, contemplating. To go further into the untouched land, or to live on a mountain, which would feel more natural?]

...What gods live in this world?
tsuntrader: (...Wait,what?)

[personal profile] tsuntrader 2012-02-01 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
All of them in the world or the ones attributed to this region?

...All of them.
tsuntrader: (Whatever.)

TL;DR

[personal profile] tsuntrader 2012-02-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
We don't really have "Gods". The closest thing we have to them are called legendary Pokémon.

[Pointing to the east.] The Kanto region has three legendary birds; Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno. They have powerful control over Electricity, Fire, and Ice, respectively. I don't know much more about them.

The Johto region has three legendary beasts; Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. There's a story saying that they were three normal Pokémon that were killed a hundred and fifty years ago in an accident. A lightning bolt struck one of the two towers in Ecruteak City, which started a fire that burned the entire building down. By the time rain put out the fire, the building and everything and everyone left in it was destroyed.

Then Ho-oh flew down and resurrected the three Pokémon, imbuing them with greater power based on the event. Raikou represents the lightning that struck the building as an electric type, Entei represents the fire that burned the building down as a fire type, and Suicune represents the rain that put out the fire as a water type.

Raikou has a thundercloud on its back and has incredibly powerful mastery over electricity.

It's boiling hot to simply be near Entei and it and has flames that are unique in the fact that they can both heal and hurt. Supposedly, a volcano erupts every time it roars, and a new one is born every time a new volcano forms.

Suicune has control over abilities involving the wind and over water. It can walk on water as well as purify anything dirty or infected with poison.

Ho-oh... Ho-oh is a giant majestic bird with wings in every color of the rainbow. It has the power to resurrect beings from the dead. It's one of the two most powerful legendary Pokémon in the Kanto-Johto area, and it used to nest at the Tin Tower. It's known as the guardian of the skies, it's a fire type, and its signature move is a giant blast of fire.

Lugia is the other other powerful legendary Pokémon. It's known as the guardian of the seas, has immense psychic powers, could summon giant floods big enough to drown the entire planet, and its signature move is a giant air blast that it can make with every breath it takes.

Celebi is a legendary Pokémon that travels through time. The time stream is dangerous to anyone without it; the only other method of protection against the effects of the time stream are Lugia and Ho-oh's feathers.

Few people have seen Mew and fewer people know anything about it. The same goes for Mewtwo.

Jirachi is a Pokémon from space that can grant any three wishes written on its tags if the writer truly wishes for them. It only shows up once every thousand years for seven days or until the three wishes have been granted. Then it returns to sleeping for the next millennium.

There are other legendary Pokémon in every region, but I only know a couple by name and I don't know anything about them.

[Moro listens patiently, contemplating a while longer. She's too old and weak for the wandering beasts, and birds of legend sound as though they are free from interference. The beast from space is... well, in space.

Moro notices something about this, and... chuckles.]

It is no wonder that your humans cannot interfere with these "legendaries", then...

They don't have territory for you to try and claim.
tsuntrader: (...Wait,what?)

[personal profile] tsuntrader 2012-02-03 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[...] The only ones I can think of with a "territory" would be Ho-oh, who nested on the second tower that hadn't burned in Ecruteak City, and Celebi, who has the shrine in the Ilex Forest and is known as its protector.

No one messes with Ilex forest, and the Tin Tower was guarded; no one was let in. [That's a lot of past tense there.]
