THE MUSIC LYRIC PROMPT MEME

Music is what gives life it’s spice. It brings emotion to us no matter how much we try not to show it; no matter the age, past, present, or the near future -- music will always be there for us. There’s those songs that make you happy enough to dance to, sad enough to make us shed a few tears, even ignite a dulled spark inside of lust or passion. Music has no given rules, therefore we can manipulate this to the best of our abilities to interpret the lyrics to be “relatable”.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 — Post as your character.

2 — Either leave the comment section blank, or post a small sample of lyrics you’d like your roleplay partner to bounce off of. Leaving it blank means your roleplay partner can post their own lyrics.

3 — Roleplay that shit out. There are no rules here.

4 — Profit!

5 — Be good and kind to each other.

The bias is always real, no matter who is presenting what side. People are always shaded by their own experiences and agendas -- not to mention the agendas of the people paying them. Lex had spent great money to depict Clark a certain way in the news. Media is malleable, as is public opinion.

Some people might call that cynicism, Bruce thinks of it more like a statement of fact.

"Coffee. I was never much for tea."

Much to Alfred's disappointment, he's sure.

Neither was Tony, she thinks. It's unfair to compare them, but they're the only two billionaire playboys who gallivant as vigilantes in their spare time. And neither of them like tea, so there's that, too. Eventually, probably, she will be better at instinctively separating them but for now it is just a consequence of their outward similarities.

Instead, however, she murmurs, "Neither was my brother," as she steps into the small kitchen to pop a k cup into the Kureg. He's lucky she has coffee, honestly, but it's more for Sam and Scott when they visit. Steve will drink tea with her.

"I don't have any milk, but I suppose you take it black? Maybe a little sweet?"

Even if Bruce hadn't read up on her and her history the was would have been a dead give away -- you don't use past tense for someone who was still alive. "It must have been difficult, losing him." Bruce was an only child, he's never had any siblings to lose but he knows loss intimately all the same. Between his parents and Jason and everyone else he's lost there is little Bruce knows as well as loss.

It permeates his ever cell, sometimes threatening to consume everything else.

"Black is perfect."

He mostly drinks it for the caffeine than the taste anyway -- he doesn't tend to sleep much considering the night job he has.

She busies herself making the coffee -- which amounts to finding a mug, Pym Tech splashed across it and a "house warming" gift from Scott that he knew she wouldn't decline since he didn't pay for it -- and taking a moment to process the stranger in her small home. His coffee is done at the same time as her tea, pouring the steaming water into her own mug and dropping the tea bag in. Two scoops of sugar join the tea bag and she drops a spoon in before carrying both mugs out to the living room and passing Bruce his coffee.

"I'm already on a team," she reminds him as she sits down, deciding pleasantries are finished for now. It's not like it's a team that's currently together or doing anything since 90% of them were just in prison, but it's a still a team Wanda considers herself a part of. It's her family.

"You are. I'm not trying to steal you away from them." And it's true, he isn't. He knows any chance he might have about hearing him out would be gone if he tried to do that. Without her brother they're the only family she has.

"I'm merely seeing if we could borrow you. If you'd be willing to help another team out, of course."
