Interspecies Love Meme

Vampires and humans. Angels and demons. Ghosts and the living. The idea of "opposites attracting" is hardly a new one, but with the rise in popularity of supernatural creatures, aliens, and other sentient beings beyond our human understanding, the forbidden romance trope has been injected a shot of fresh blood- sometimes quite literally.

This meme does just that, taking the whole "not meant for each other" thing to it's most logical extreme. Of course, it's not always angst and depression. These days, mermaids and bird-people can have their relationships in peace to some degree.

Rules

Comment with your character, putting any preferences you have (ie, "humanoid characters only," F/M, etc). Also, be sure to note your character's "species" for others to reference (Name | Character | OTA | Human, ghost, mutant, alien, vampire, god, zombie-catgirl hybrid, etc).
Reply to others. If your characters aren't different species, feel free to AU or anything else like that.

All things considered, mutant ninja turtles living under the city were not the strangest thing that Molly had encountered during her stint as a vigilante-by-night. What surprised her was just how closer that she had grown with Leo and his brothers in such a short time. But especially Leo. They'd helped each other out a few times, and she always made sure to have plenty of pizza on hand in case of late night visitors. Lately, she noticed that Leo was coming to see her on his own, and she didn't think it was just so he could have more pizza to himself.

She watched him thoughtfully as they sat together on the couch, watching some old movie on TV. Neither of them seemed to be paying much attention to the show, and there was a subtle tension in the air, like they were flirting around what they really wanted to say. Or maybe sye was reading into things. She just couldn't help but wonder what was on his mind.

[OOC: I don't know anything about the Dresden Files, so what would Leo know about Molly from hanging out with her? I'll keep it vague for now.]

Molly was fascinating, as far as Leonardo was concerned. He'd never met a human who was less shocked by his and his brothers' appearance. She seemed to have encountered just as many bizarre things as his family had, perhaps more. That made her easier for the Turtles to befriend.

He and his brothers had already had a few romantic interests among humans, so the idea of him being with a human woman wasn't out of the question. It was just a matter of whether or not she was interested. For Leo, the asking was definitely the hardest part.

But there they were, sitting together on the couch. The tension between them was thick enough to cut with a sword. Leo couldn't concentrate on the movie, and he was pretty sure she wasn't watching, either. Finally, he picked up the remote and turned off the TV.

He turned to her. "Okay, so much for the movie. So. What do you want to do now, Molly?" He was pretty sure Mikey would've had a smoother segue, and Raph would have probably already been making out with her by now.

[she's a wizard, better at camouflage than combat; she went a little off the rails when her teacher was presumed dead and tried to take his place defending the city against magical baddies; and she comes from a big family but has her own apartment now. also, when she and her teacher need info, they tend to pay their informants with pizza, and leo is free to have seen dresden's name in the yellow pages under "wizard."]

Molly had met enough non-human people to be curious, but she'd never dated one. She wasn't quite sure how to ask Leo if was into human girls, but she was pretty sure there was something there. He might look different, but he was still a guy. And when Leo turned off the TV, she had no excuse not to make a move.

"Well," she said, draping an arm over the back of the couch to rest her hand on his shoulder, "We could...mess around a little?"

Yeah, not the smoothest line, but sometimes it was better to just be diresct.

She certainly didn't mince words, Leo had to give her that. And it was a relief that he hadn't misread the situation. Her hand on his shoulder coupled with the look in her eyes made the point that much clearer.

He leaned in closer to her, placing a hand on her belly and sliding his tongue up the length of her neck to the pressure point behind her ear. Kissing her lips would be somewhat difficult, but he had other methods.

Molly let her eyes drift paetway closed as he leaned in, tiltin her head to the side to give him better access. Behind her ears was definitely a sensitive spot, and the fact that he went right there made her shiver. She was very glad, now, that she'd taken a chance.

Sighing softly, she turned her head to nuzzle his cheek in return, her lips brushing his reptilian skin. It was different, but she was eager to learn what he liked, and how they could make things work.
