quickmartial: (thinking)

Zell didn't know what to do when he was kissed like that. He could feel a sort of longing desperation in the kiss and the hold around him. Zell tried to reassure him as best he could, but when the kiss broke and Squall spoke those words, he felt his heart ache a little. He wanted Squall to enjoy himself on their first date, not feel like he wasn't good enough. It hurt that Squall didn't think he deserved to be happy, or even the relationship that they had.

"Squall..." Zell spoke, nearly choking on the word as he tried to think of what else he could say. He looked up to Squall again, his eyes wet with unshed tears for the feelings that his best friend and soulmate had. "I love you. Even if you think you don't deserve it, we both wanna be together. ... Right? That should be good enough. I ain't going anywhere." Even if Squall wanted to push him away because of these ridiculous feelings. Squall would have to seriously not want to be with him for him to leave.
