Plenty of people knew of Murasaki. When her sister did eventually manage to drag her to school, she tended to get a lot of looks, both for her figure and for being so completely asocial she had to be cornered before she'd say anything to anyone. Hardison has a lot of reasons for having a simply enormous couch. Couch complex, really, since a lot of the overstuffed structures are actually independent. This isn't one of the reasons for it, but it seems really convenient as he guides Luke along. "You wanna drink or anything?" His hospitable impulses are intact despite the charged air and the feeling of soft hair lingering on his fingers. And mostly innocent. Unmotivated, anyway. Man might want a drink. How innocent he can be while he settles his hand meaningfully on Luke's knee with a little squeeze is... debatable.

A drink would mean Hardison moving away from him, and Luke really doesn't want that right now. Having found this, sudden as it is, he is loathe to detach.

"No. Thanks," Luke says, some manners at least remaining. He pulls his legs up so that he's kneeling on the couch, sitting back on his haunches, facing Hardison. He's a compact ball of potential energy, his need to reach out for the other man leaving him wide open to the energies swirling around and between them, and it's intoxicating. He smiles. "Unless you do."

In the rush of what happened on Bespin, Lando never got a good chance to actually talk to Luke. He'd been injured, and they'd just lost Han... It was not a good time for introductions.

It's only once they're back safe at the Rebel's base that either of them have a moment to talk. Luke's just been released from medbay, and Lando's feeling a little stifled, like no one is sure what to do with him there. Sure, he'd been impartial before, tried to stay under the Empire's radar, but now he'd sided himself with the Rebels, hadn't he? Still, Leia and Luke are the only ones there who know him, and Leia's off planning some scheme to get Han back. Lando decides now's as good a time as any to go check on Luke.

He knocks on the open doorframe to Luke's quarters, giving the young Jedi a tentative wave. "Hey. You up to taking visitors?"

Kriff. He'd thought the door was closed, which in hindsight is a rookie mistake he'll kick himself for. In addition, he burgeoning Force-sensitivity should have warned him of the approach of the other man, especially one whose loyalties Luke still isn't sure about.

The thing is, Luke's a little preoccupied.

See, growing up on a desert planet there's not much to do, and one has to make one's own fun. In recent years, Luke feels he's run from one disaster to another, always getting shot at or reprimanded, running or fighting, stuck in a cramped cockpit or surrounded by far too many people. Alone time is at a premium, relationships have taken a back seat to important Alliance work, and then there's the whole getting your dominant hand chopped off.

Luke's just trying to find out if the new model works as well.

Which means he's got it under the sheet, stuffed down his loose-fitting pajama pants as he tries to determine whether it feels like his or a stranger's. The last thing he needs as he breath starts to hitch is Lando Calrissian popping his head in on the Hero of Yavin having a jerk while forgetting the most basic rule of self-love:

Lock the damn door.

"No!" he squeaks without thinking, hand jerking away from himself, flush rising to his cheeks. "I mean, yes. Yes. Visitors. How. Nice."

He is probably literally going to die from embarrassment.

Normally, there are actual mental calculations that go into answering your place or mine? for Nina. It's a formula that includes how easily she can politely extricate herself, how long she thinks it will be before she wants to, and how likely the other person would be to leave of their own accord. It's not that she doesn't like snuggling, or even sleeping over -- it just has to be with the right person, and for her, wanting to sleep with someone and wanting them to spend the night are by no means the same.

But the fairy magic assures her that Luke is the right person, maybe the most right she's found yet on the Barge, and she doesn't even question leading him back down to her cabin. It looks more or less the same as it did the last time he was there, except that before, the bed had been implicitly off-limits. Now, when she asks, "Do you want to sit?" there's an open invitation in it.

Luke thinks that if he doesn’t his knees might well buckle. He’s been here before, yes, but then it had been different. Fraught, with too many unspoken questions and too many spoken ones. Funny, how much easier it all seems now. Like they’re finally speaking the same language. He gives her fingers, entwined with his, a squeeze, and he can’t help but gaze past her at the bed, cheeks still flushed pink.

This is happening. He’s not putting a name on it, not yet, because he doesn’t want to assume. Bull and Hardison have been very gentle with him, and he doesn’t yet know what Nina wants, but he knows they’re both here, together, and the energy radiating off of her is the same as what he feels. Enough that he doesn’t feel bad letting a little of that show as he steps in close, opening himself up for her to understand, if she can, the tender feelings he’s having for her.
