High school never ends

Mostly because I'm surprised we've never had this kind of meme before. We love high school AUs. We love romance. Why not combine those into a glorious mix?

Your teen years are important, formatively speaking. You're trying to find out just where you belong and what kind of person you're going to be. This already daunting task is complicated by the soul-sucking demon known as high school. If you weren't having a hard time before coming here, you certainly are now.

Add into this mixture raging hormones, and baby, you've got a misery stew cooking. But it's not all bad! Sometimes high school crushes can be sweet, and the occasional high school relationship lasts.

So whether you're too cool or distracted for romance or always on to the next good looking stud, come on down and try to navigate the romantic labyrinth that is the halls of Bakerstreet High.

Comment with your character and preferences. Needless to say, aging down and AUing is welcomed and probably necessary. Have fun with it! Feel free to include a short blurb about your character's Bakerstreet High self. Are they popular? The class clown? A drifter? A band geek?

childhood: You've known each other forever. Puberty has changed a couple of things, though.
friends to more: Best buds, right? Can you let a little crush get between you?

over the top: You're that couple that is always on the PDA or being schloopy and goopy romantic. Don't be that couple.

first time: Is it romantic and slow or in the back of someone's car?
drunk: Drunk confessions and attempts to make passes are ill-advised.

long term couple: When did you guys get together? Probably like middle school or something. You've always been together.
hide who you are: Unfortunately, even these days some people make it necessary for those who don't conform to the "ideals" to hide their true selves.
break up: Statistically, it was bound to fail.
after graduation: Can you guys make it work after you lose the common ground of school? This can be challenging if you're going to be living in different places.

[Sure, let's go with that. Would you like to start us off?]

On the outside, Jessie may have looked like she had it basically together. She was going to college next year on a scholarship, and was part of a few clubs. She was actually known for being friendly and confident, almost too much so. But even she didn't have the guts to ask out Clarice.

She was a beautiful new student, brilliant as she was popular. Jessie had seen her around quite a bit. They'd even become friends. But Jessie still couldn't work up the courage to ask her out. She was determined to break that streak. Seeing her friend at her locker, Jessie flashed a small smile.

"Hey, how goes it? Ready for the weekend?" As much as Jessie enjoyed classes, she was still very much a TGIF girl.

Putting away her books and closing her locker, Clarice looked up at Jessie and smiled, happy as always to see her. "Always ready," she replied. "I'm so excited; I've got a D&D game tomorrow night. We're leveling up, so my sexy fighter's gonna be sexier and fightier! No plans for tonight, though."

She always enjoyed being around Jessie, who was a great combination of confidence and brawn without being a jerk. And she had a body like Wonder Woman, which made Clarice weak in the knees. In addition, she always looked like she was going to ask Clarice something, which was intriguing.

"How about you? Have any plans?" Come on, ask me, she thought. I'll say yes.

So far so good. Jessie thought to herself, returning the smile. Clarice was always hot, but her smile could light up a room. Not to mention a body that had Jess as envious as she was enticed.

"I never really got into D&D. Maybe you could explain it to me over Pizza or something?" She asked, hoping it sounded casual enough. If she said no, it wouldn't be a big deal. They'd still be tight, or so Jessie hoped.

Clarice thought Jessie was so pretty when she smiled, despite how intimidating her appearance might have been to most people.

And there it was. Jessie asked. "I'd love to. You could come over to my place, and I'll show you all the books and character sheets. I'll show you how to beat things up with your imagination. It'll be awesome."

The thought of being alone at her house with Jessie caused a dark-purple blush to creep onto her cheeks.

Jessie's cheeks were a little red herself. Had she heard that right? The prettiest girl in school just invited her over to her house?

"Um...yeah, we can do that. Just take it easy with me. I know little of D&D, and I don't want to come off as a dumbass to one of the cutest girls in school." If her cheeks were a little red before, they were crimson now. But it was the truth. Jessie had admired her from afar for a while now.

"Oh, believe me, Jessie, I've never thought you were a dumbass," Clarice replied as the two walked out Bakerstreet High and in the direction of her home. "You're smarter than you give yourself credit for. It'll take some explaining, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be punching dragons in the face in no time. So don't worry, I'll be gentle."

The innuendo may or may not have been intentional.

Jessie grinned at that. It was nice to know that not everyone saw her as a musclehead. She couldn't believe this was happening, but she drew a breath.

"Thanks. It takes me a little while sometimes. Although the idea of punching someone in the face with my imagination intrigues me," She laughed a little, "You have a ride home, or do you need one?" Jessie asked, curious.

Clarice laughed along with your friend. "You'll like the Monk class, then. They specialize in bare-knuckle martial arts and exotic weapons."

They approached the parking lot. "If you want to give me a ride, I wouldn't turn it down." Another statement with innuendo that may or may not be accidental.

"Sweet! You ever ride on a bike?" Jessie asked, walking her towards an old Indian motorcycle, "I found her totaled, and rebuilt her." Jessie said, proudly. That was her side project when she wasn't studying. She just hoped Clarice would be impressed. Some were and some weren't, so it was a fifty fifty shot.

Clarice's eyes lit up when she saw Jessie's motorcycle. "This is yours? It's so cool!" Excited, she circled the bike to study it from all angles, very much impressed by the work she'd put into it.

"That is so amazing. Can't wait to ride on it with you ... but I don't have a helmet."

Jessie shrugged, opening up the side compartment, and getting out two helmets. Hers, covered with MMA and other such stickers. The other looked, and was brand new.

"I was...I was hoping you might say yes and planned accordingly." Jessie said, a little shyly. At the time, she considered it to be more wishful thinking than anything. But it was definatly looking up, "You can drive, if you want." She said, dangling the keys in front of Clarice.

Clarice grinned and she picked up the helmet. It was purple. "I admire your forethought." Seriously, all this planning and flattery was getting Jessie everywhere.

Her eyes widened when she saw the keys. "I've never actually ridden a motorcycle before. I'll let you do that, and I'll just hold on tight." She winked at Jessie as she put on her new helmet.

"Well, I baught it a month ago, so maybe you shouldn't admire it that much." Jessie said, shaking her head a little at herself. She'd picked it up when she thought of asking Clarice out in the first place, she just didn't have the guts to ask at the time.

"That works." Jessie said, putting it on, and getting on.

She mouthed the words, a month as she climbed onto Jessie's motorcycle, moving into place behind her and wrapping her arms around her.

Jessie's hard-muscled body felt just as amazing as it looked. Clarice wanted to rest her chin on Jessie's shoulder in contentment, but the helmet made that difficult.

Once they were on their way, Clarice enjoyed the rumbling of the motorcycle engine. It was making her horny, but she reined it in enough to give Jessie directions to her place.

Jessie sighed, feeling that softer body pressed into her. She was having trouble concentrating herself, and was actually grateful it didn't seem to be a long ride to Clarice's house. She pulled into the driveway, parking the bike.

"This place is awesome." Jessie said, taking in her house, seriously impressed and trying desperately to forget how good it felt to have Clarice pressed against her like that.

Clarice dismounted the bike, taking off the helmet. She watched Jessie's reaction to the sight of her house. She shrugged. "Thanks. It's, y'know, a house. I live here with my older brother and his fiancee. They're at work, so we'll have the place to ourselves for a few hours."

Leading Jessie inside, she gave her classmate the nickel tour of the house. "And here's my room. Let me grab the books and character sheets, and I can start showing you the game. Where do you want to set up? Living room? Kitchen table?" She would suggest her room as an option, but she was fairly sure that if she did, they'd never actually get to the D&D tutorial.

Jessie walked around with Clarice, wide eyed. It was nicer than her two bedroom apartment with her dad. But such was military life. At least he'd stopped being deployed when her mother job, taking on a gunnery sergeant role instead. Seeing her bedroom had Jessie's mind on anything but the D&D tutorial, truthfully.

"Um....wherever you do is fine." Jessie said, trying not to ask if they could just stay in the nicely furnished bedroom. However it was more than a little tempting to ask for just that. Luckily, she thought of Clarice as more of a friend than to assume she'd want to do anything like that....

"Okay, then," Clarice replied as they stood in the doorway of her bedroom. She wanted to enter her room to grab her books, but she didn't want to move away from Jessie. Her proximity was magnetic. She gazed into Jessie's eyes. "How about ... how about my room?" she asked, then took Jessie by the hand and pulled her into the room. "Have a seat on my bed."

Her D&D books were on her night stand. That was where they remained, as Clarice sat in Jessie's lap, wrapping her arms around the larger girl's neck.

Jessie sat on the bed, not sure of what to expect. But when Clarice straddled her lap, her strong arms wrapping around Jessie's neck, that she knew what to do with. She smiled softly and leaned in to kiss her deeply. Jessie let her hands run with a feather light touch along Clarice's back. She was also fairly sure her alarm was going to sound any second.
