Long-Distance Relationship Meme a romantic relationship between two people who live far apart and so are unable to meet on a frequent basis. What to do if the person you're with...isn't with you? They could be living a town over, across the world, or even across the universe. However, living with you may not be off the table for them; instead, it possibly could be a time to time affair. Of course, what this all means is that you've got to make up for lost time and make every second you do have when they drop by count. What exactly that entails is up to you. Romance? Fun? Sex? Just being close or hanging out together? In your almost constantly parallel lives, any intersection is good enough. You know what to do. When BB-8 and the deserter named Finn ran into their lives, they brought the First Order's wrath with them, and Blink could not have been more excited. Rey, for her part, took a lot more convincing. Blink understood; Rey was still waiting for her mysterious parents to return. Finally, with the revelation that Rey was Force-sensitive, it looked like she and Blink were going to go out and have all kinds of space adventures with the Rebellion.

But Rey needed to be trained as a Jedi. That meant she had to find somebody named Skywalker. Jedi couldn't have attachments, so Blink couldn't go with Rey. It was heartbreaking. For as long as she could remember, she and Rey had been inseparable. Now they had to be content with being star systems apart and communicating through brief transmissions.

Blink kept herself busy training to be a pilot. It was an interesting profession, and she was hoping to get her own ship one day and fly off to where Rey was training. But for now, she had to be patient.

And then one day, Blink received a holo-message from Rey. She played it, tearing up as her beloved's face resolved into view.

[ It was a flawless Star Trek movie from start to finish, so for a fan, it was a very rewarding experience and I enjoyed myself a lot. I'm also open to shipping, especially from that canon point! There are some unique dynamics there to them that I would love to explore. ]
