When the hot chocolate was ready, Clarice called out "Nancy" a few times to no response. The girl must have been enthralled with her schoolbook. It was a slow part of the day, so Clarice took the excuse to bring the drink to her table. "Here you go, one hot chocolate with whipped cream, and I must compliment you on your choice of beverage." She pointed to her name badge. "Name's Clarice. Let me know if there's anything else I can get for you."
