Charlie wasn't usually the sort to try skinny dipping; she'd been tempted into it by the heat; and maybe a little drink, and a girl who - as it turned out - had chickened out. And possibly stolen her clothes along the way.

So there she was; in the water; naked, slightly buzzed, and ducking slightly beneath the surface in the desperate hope that no one would come her way.

Irene, on the other hand, had taken the opportunity to slip into the water simply because it was far too hot, and she could stand a little misbehavior after talking her way out of police custody. She'd made it to a few rocks to the left when the sound of feet and rustling caught her attention. She held herself still, waiting for a moment, and when it settled and there was only a young woman treading water, she smiled and swam closer.

"Lovely night for a dip," she said conversationally, with an obvious English accent.
