( 4 ) awkward carriage rides; you're alone in the carriage without a chaperone. what to make of it?

Larsa Ferrinas Solidor was very much the elegant bachelor as far as his subjects were concerned (and many of the noble ladies of the neighbouring countries and empires) but he had decided that he would only marry for love. As it was, he had just politely evaded some unwanted interest and made his way to the lovely girl with the interestingly long hair. She seemed like she was enjoying herself.

She hisses again, not daring to raise her voice, and beckons frantically for Marius to join her in the darkness of an alleyway.

[Sherlock Holmes, considered by some to be a bit past the marrying age, but by others to simply be an elusive albeit desirable match, did not normally attend balls. If he ever left London or Paris for his country home, it was to be in seclusion. However, due to his brother Mycroft's managing of the Holmes estate, he was occasionally forced to socialize outside of developing science. He knew Mycroft was simply too lazy to produce an heir, but he had no intention of doing so, either.

Though for the sake of appeasement, Sherlock found himself fraternizing with a Miss Molly Hooper. Courting certainly seemed like to strong of a word for the situation to him, but he had the inkling that she and her family were more keen on that. Of course, he still acted the perfect gentleman, "acted" being the key word.

Now he finds himself riding in a carriage to the manor of a mutual acquaintance of the Hoopers and the Holmes', alone with the young lady of the house. It's a first, and not one he's sure he's keen on. His eyes stay fixed outside the window, not making any moves to start conversation.]
