Thea had been on the train within hours of learning what had happened, her scream of "I'm on the next train!" spoke volumes. Her vacation from Team Arrow starting a couple of weeks early in the process (Barry had been after her to take a few months off so she could properly face her own inner garbage, Laurel's death bring back a lot of old wounds in the process). But only the two teams knew one part of the puzzle: she and Barry had been very quietly together since the mess with Savage back in the fall. But once off the train she scanned the Central City station, several other reunions in full bloom, when she spotted Barry. In the process she pulls him into a fierce hug,"Been wanting to do that since Caitlin and Cisco called." along with a kiss on the cheek and a soft whisper in his ear.

Compared to a lot of young couples Barry and Thea are more into affection over sex (saving that part for their apartments and the occasional hotel room). But at the same time it had also pulled Thea through several rounds of post pit emotional mayhem so it was her turn to be there for her love.

Barry isn't dealing very well. On top of everything else that he'd been through in his life, he had to lose his dad? Hadn't he suffered enough? Thoughts like that aren't helpful, so he does his best to force them down as he makes his way to the train station to meet his girlfriend.

He's grateful for Thea, more so in this moment than he anticipated. She's one of the few people in his life who can truly understand what he's going through right now. She'd lost both her parents in unfairly cruel ways, so there's a chance she'll know what to do to make it stop hurting.

Even just seeing her again makes the pain fade just a little bit, her tight hug like a balm on his wounds.

"I'm sorry they had to do it," he says, holding on just a bit longer before forcing himself to step back. "I just...I wasn't in any condition to be making calls."

But for now her goal was simple: to give Barry a safe place to fall apart and a shoulder to cry on. "And I'm on leave as of now, I'm here as long as you need me." since Barry knew of her plans to take a few months off to face her own demons.

Takeo really didn't like privateering that much--in large part because he didn't like having to answer to anyone, even temporarily. However, have crash-landed on this world, he did need the resources, and playing up to this or that monarch for awhile could have its benefits.

And once he'd seen her, he had a good sense of what benefits he wanted, even if it cost him a little--although a close relationship to a monarch could bring in additional benefits, in the long term. He'd been bold to approach her, but made it clear in his bearing that he was much less impressed with her guards than he was with her. Perhaps on some level he made the offer he did just to put those guards in their place.

"Of course, I wouldn't have to ask so much from someone I was close to. And there's no question at all, Your Majesty, I'd gladly get very close to you."

He glanced downward--although certainly not out of shame, but to openly admire her figure.

Her personal guard were much more loyal - Queen Syndra was as free with her love as anyone else on the planet, as long as you treated her right, and often just went for whoever was nearest when she was in the mood.

Although it seemed that wouldn't be the case right now. The fact she hadn't attempted to violently eject him from the room via magic was the first sign he actually had her interest.
