01. At A Bar: You’re out with your friends, or maybe by yourself, and someone catches your eye. Don’t be shy! Go say hi, or give them a cheesy pickup line.
02. Grocery Store: Maybe the both of you are eying the same frozen dinner, or maybe you’re both grabbing for the same apple. Whatever the case, chat them up!
03. Laundromat: Whoops! Did you just drop your panties/boxers on the floor? Don’t worry! There’s a friendly stranger there to help you pick them up, or maybe just look awkward and blush a lot.
04. Blind Date: Your friend thinks you need a life so they’ve set you up on a date!
05. A Long Line: Both of you are stuck next to each other in a long line. Strike up a conversation!
06. Work: Maybe your cubicles are next to each other’s, or maybe you work in the same building. Or, maybe you’re a delivery person, delivering something to the other person.
07. Public Transportation: Subway, bus, train, airplane. Whatever the case, you’re now sitting next to this person.
08. Jail: You’ve both been put in the same cell (let’s just pretend there are coed cells), and now you have nothing but time to chat.
09. Wildcard: Pick whatever you want!

Bus!

[A two hour-long bus ride? Great. Just fantastic. Even better, people are spread out so that she'll have to sit next to someone no matter what. Why does everyone have to do that? Never mind that Jessica would have done the same if she'd boarded at an earlier stop.

She ends up sitting next to the guy in the jacket and baseball cap since he isn't taking up too much room. Too bad for him, the moment she takes her seat Jessica opens up her messenger bag and pulls out her laptop.

Oh, and her cell phone too- have to create a WiFi hot spot, right?

Now she's taking up more room than the guy she'd sat next to, and doesn't appear to give a single fuck about it. Sometimes work doesn't take a break, and then neither does she. Researching assholes isn't always easy, and at the end of this bus ride she's hoping to hit two birds with one stone. One abuser and one mobster who's been causing trouble all the way across town.

She's been taking on some harder jobs in addition to the typical ones lately. Sometimes it's not just taking photographs anymore. In fact, a photo of the mobster is already up on her laptop screen when she boots it up, and even though she's quick to minimize it, the guy next to her would have ample opportunity to see.]

Sooner or later, every successful restaurant encounters a drifter or sorts. Some might beg or accost customers. But some, like Minoru, are perfectly content to scavenge from the dumpster in the back alley after hours. Usually, people are long gone, but not this time.

As Minoru hopped to the ground, knapsack full of kitchen scraps, he landed right in front of the chef who just locked up for the night.

It probably wasn't the sight Alfredo was expecting. This was no child, but a grown man with shaggy unkempt hair, a worn-out tunic, bare feet and a smile that didn't seem to fit with any of those other things.
