 The Twincest AU Meme
Incest between twins is a subclass of sibling incest and includes both heterosexual and homosexual relationships. While in modern Western European culture, such behavior is considered taboo and is quite rare, incest between twins is a common feature in Indo-European, Asian (such as Japan, the Philippines, and Bali) and Oceanian mythology, and there are a few societies in which the prohibition on it is limited or it is partially accepted [Wiki].
For your whole life, you've been a one-of-a-kind. Maybe you've had siblings, but your siblings are different or older or younger. Nobody quite like you, nobody exactly close.
Or has it been like that? Don't you have someone closer than a regular sibling - a twin?
In this meme, you do! You're a twin. And not only that, but you're...close. Closer than close, actually, in ways the outside world might not understand. It may be a misconception, or you could actually be inappropriately involved; yet in the end, you still have each other, just as you started with. And who needs anyone else? You two don't.
HOW TO PLAY
- AU your character into being a twin. It will probably be fraternal twins so you can account for differences in appearances and/or gender.
- You can age characters up or down to be the same age.
- Otherwise, comment with character information and then tag others.
PROMPTS
- Treated Badly: The way you grew up was difficult, so you've pulled close to the only person you knew.
- Posing: Luckily, you look different enough that, if you should leave your childhood home, no one would know you're related.
- Protecting: There's usually a dominant, protector twin. That's you. You have to protect your brother/sister from all those out there who'd want to use them.
- Narcissism: What's better than masturbation? Being with someone who looks almost like you.
- True Love: Your love is just like any other couples'. How can you be blamed if you were born in the bodies of twins?
- No One Else Understands: Nobody gets you like your twin. It's such a relief to come to them and forget everything else.
- Exploring the Differences: You want to see everything that makes the two of you differ.
- Always Been Like This: There's almost never been a moment where you haven't been sexually or romantically involved with your twin. You don't question it.
- Childhood Returns: Some old habits from the past have started to resurface.
- Natural You were born into this world together. You're soulmates.
- Competition: Nearly everything's a game in you two's capable hands. You just want to see who's the best.
- Jealous: You want to keep what's yours all to yourself.
- Share and Share Alike: You've shared all your life. It's not stretch to share other people.
- Nonsexual: You're romantically involved, but not sexually. That's okay, you have something more pure than sex.
- Borderline: The one place you said you wouldn't go is the place you're getting closer and closer to. As long as there's no penetration, there's no sex, you tell yourself.
- Guilt: There is some self-awareness of how messed up this is.

Kuroko lets out a long sigh as the car pulls up to the entrance-way, dreading a full week back home. A mere weekend already tires him out enough, so he prays he'll make it through the holidays. Refusing the servant's help to take his bags, he tugs his suitcase up to the grandiose oak doors of the mansion.
Once he passes through, he has to remember; here, he's no longer a Kuroko but an Akashi. Here, he is Tetsuya and not a shadow. He takes in a breath and pushes through the doors, the grand staircase immediately coming into view. ]
I'm home.

hokey probably a mix of 3 and 12 with some 4 tossed in there
he wasn't that much older than him. they were separated by minutes, and because of that, they'd grown up fairly close. all throughout their childhood, Osomatsu and Choromatsu had done everything together. but as they grew older, they had begun to split apart. it was just in little ways, at first. like, they started wearing different colors in high school so that other people could distinguish them from one another. they liked different things, different foods, different drinks. eventually, it seemed that they had more differences than similarities.
Osomatsu stares at the ceiling, scratching his stomach. geez, this was messed up, wasn't it? on days like today, when he had time to himself, he would try to think about the past, to see how much of it he could hold onto. back then, as children, they'd been more like a unit, having the same thoughts and ideas. and Osomatsu missed that. sure, there were things about the differences that he liked, too, like the way the green of Choromatsu's sweatshirt reflected in his eyes, or the fact that he could so easily rile Choromatsu up with the littlest effort.
he grins to himself, rubbing under his nose in contemplation. but the grin fades a little bit as his thoughts catch up to him. what did he do about this, then? surely this kind of bond... the kind of bond he wanted... wasn't normal. no, he knew it wasn't. they were supposed to split apart, supposed to make their own way in this world, supposed to have their own lives. they couldn't stay together forever. ...could they?
Osomatsu rolls around on the floor now, groaning at his own mind. stupid, this was stupid! why was he such a screw-up? he couldn't even hold a job, and he was still living with his parents even though he was in his twenties. and now... now he had the hots for Choromatsu? what kind of sick bastard was he? aaaaah, he hated thinking negatively! it brought his mood down considerably, and Osomatsu wasn't the type of person to dwell on bad thoughts. he liked to have fun! liked to party! so, after his tiny tantrum, he stops, pushes himself up, and gets up off the floor. time to find some beer and forget about all this!]
yes very good.......
He didn't particularly enjoy dwelling on the thought for too long. The taboo of it all eventually catching up to him, making him fully realize just what it was he wanted out of Osomatsu. In reality, he should be ashamed. He should be disgusted by these sorts of thoughts, and to a degree, he is. But sometimes, he catches himself thinking about just what it is he wants from his big brother. What he wants Osomatsu to do to him.
He really is kind of disgusting.
Choromatsu does his best to push these thoughts to the back of his mind. It seems increasingly difficult to do in the bathhouse, or at night on the futon, when Osomatsu sleepily pulls him close to snuggle, and his breath tickles Choromatsu's ear. How comfortable he is in his older brother's hold. He can't think of a place in the world that makes him feel safer than that.
Sometimes he missed how close he used to be with Osomatsu. It's not like any of them ever had friends they could hang out with. So growing distant from one another was like growing apart from the only friends they had. He missed having someone to talk with and hang around. Despite the fact that Osomatsu bothered him so frequently, he still felt his stomach flutter a little when he sat too close, or told Choro how much he loved him (even as a joke).
He had been out at a concert today, having spent the little money he had earned on the ticket. He had come home with several free posters, and lots of glowsticks, looking pretty pleased with himself. The other four brothers had all gone out to do their own thing today, leaving the first and third son alone with each other. ]
Haaah! That was so much fun. Nyaa-chan was giving out free posters today, too.
[ A pause. ]
Ah. Niisan, I didn't see you. Are you getting a beer?

[if only they knew how similar their thoughts were this time around. Osomatsu is walking through the doorway to the kitchen when Choromatsu gets home. he's a little surprised to see that he's alone, but he probably shouldn't be. it's not like Choromatsu went to concerts with any of their other brothers.
thank goodness, he was getting lonely, lying around, with just his own thoughts. hn]
Yeah. I really need one. [relax, Osomatsu. it was just Choro... the very same Choro you've been thinking about all afternoon. dammit] Wanna join me?
no subject
Sure. Thanks, niisan.
[ The house is unusually quiet, and Choro figures his other brothers are out. Which means he and Osomatsu are alone.
All alone. Together.
Choromatsu has to struggle to push those thoughts to the back of his mind. It's really no big deal! He's home alone with just one brother all the time. Osomatsu is no different.
Except he is. He's completely different. ]
So what did you do today?
no subject
Maaaan. What did I do today? [Osomatsu ambles to the kitchen, tilting his head back to look at the ceiling while he thinks. what did he do, other than lie around on his ass? he certainly didn't go anywhere] Oh, I read some of a magazine.
[...lame, he thinks as he opens the refrigerator and grabs two beers. Choromatsu went to a concert, but at least that was something. Osomatsu had lazed the day away, watching television and napping lightly.
oh, and thinking about Choromatsu. but he couldn't say that.
everything else is so unimpressive, it doesn't need to be mentioned]

[ But it's not like he can really blame his brother. Hes not really into much aside from gambling. And with no money, it's kind of hard to gamble. He pats the empty table across from him in a welcoming manner, inviting the older sibling to sit. ]
What did you read about? Tell me all about it.
[ Resting his chin on his hand, he reaches over and takes a cigarette from ghe box that's already open. Hes looking around for the lighter, but figures Oso has it. ]
Can I borrow your lighter?
i just realized this was supposed to be an AU i'm sorry
[Osomatsu wanders out into the main room just in time to see Choromatsu pat the space across from him, and that causes him to grin. so Choromatsu wanted to hear all about that magazine, huh? he must be bored... or pretending to be interested because he wants something. Osomatsu can't quite tell yet. but he walks into the room and takes a seat, sliding over the beer.
he's about to go into great detail of this magazine (not really), when Choro asks for his lighter. so Osomatsu will pull that out of his pocket and toss it to him first. it is, of course, red]
Let's see. I initially bought the magazine because it had an article on Las Vegas, and I was hoping it'd give me some gambling tips. [he opens his beer] It totally didn't. I want my money back.
thats ok i... forgot too lmao,,
Choromatsu lights his cigarette and places the lighter on the table, taking a long drawl and slumping over onto the table and taking the beer in his free hands. ]
I doubt they'll give you your money back. Might as well keep it for reference. Maybe we can go there some day.
no subject
[Oso hums in thought, taking a sip of beer. smoking sounds like a good idea, too. maybe he'll light one up in a few minutes]
There were some nice pictures. [and then he grins, liking the idea of going on a vacation with Choromatsu, maybe all of them. wasn't Las Vegas supposed to be, like, the land of dreams? with gambling and money and women! a playground for adults! that sounds like it's right up his alley, honestly] And they said that its motto is, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." We should definitely go there someday.
no subject
[ A vacation for the two of them? They sound like a married couple. Although, the idea isn't such a bad one, Choromatsu thinks. ]
no subject
Like I'd go on a vacation with you! You'd probably be nagging me the whole time we were there.
no subject
[ Of course the shitty eldest brother would have to go and ruin a moment like that. He nudges his foot back and grumbles. ]
I wouldn't nag you! I'd just be having to babysit you- like always. You have a knack for getting in trouble, you know!
