We can find a place where no one knows our names
![]() The two of you have decided to run away together. Bottom line, you've come up with that plan and you've worked up the guts and the means to do it. The most obvious source of a desire to leave together is a romance you can't have until you're gone from this place. It's like all the eloping that happened in those epics of old. How charmingly beautiful! How romantic! Who says the old ways have gone out of style? But other reasoning behind the decision could be from the serious - you both want to escape imprisonment, an oppressive atmosphere, or a miserable destiny - to the more lighthearted. Maybe an adventure is just what you need, where you'll finally get to see the world...and, slowly, fall in love. Because that's what the crux of all this is: even if the escape started out as mere convenience, you both want to stay close and work together. In the end, when you've finally run where you want to be and the danger, if any, has passed, you may find you don't want to go your separate ways.

[Never heard of him.][Demyx should have RTC'd over two hours ago. But he hadn't. Instead, he sat near the fountain in Radiant Garden's s square trying to figure out what he should do. He was a little surprised that one of the others hadn't come looking for him. Maybe Saix's hands were full, maybe Sora was keeping them busy, maybe they thought he was dead. That last one he could believe. He didn't think anyone would miss him if he did lose his fight to the keyblade master. Aside from what Axel had had with Roxas, Nobodies didn't seem to form close bonds with one another.
And no one seemed to mind that destroying Sora was destroying a former comrade. It bothered Demyx - he didn't know why, but it did. Why wasn't he like the others? They didn't care. Well, except for Axel. And now he was a hunted man.
Saix swore that Roxas was now an enemy and would kill him without blinking. Which made sense if he killed some of the others. What was up with that? Maybe he really had forgotten them.
He sat there looking down at his lap and feeling sick. There was no way he could win. He wasn't a fighter and Sora had taken out guys like Lexaeus. If he faced Roxas now, he was going to die. He would die without ever finding his heart. And even though he wasn't sold on the idea that he couldn't feel, it would have been nice to know who he was.
Maybe he should leave. It would mean being a traitor like Axel, but.....maybe they'd be so busy chasing the red head that they'd forget about their awol member. It's not like he was valuable.]

Sora wasn't one to sit around and wait for trouble to turn up though, not when he could go on the offensive and buy his friends a little more time; especially since it looked like his ship was going to need some repairs put in before they could continue their search. Plenty of time for him to put in a little clean up of his own.]
Come back here, you!
[A Dusk was moving as fast as its bizarre form would let it travel, slinking and stretching down the path and through the garden with Sora hot on its heels. The third one he'd found that day as they, as well as countless Heartless scouts, just seemed to be popping up more and more often around him. If he hadn't been so hellbent on chasing them, he might have stopped to wonder if they weren't possibly following him for some reason.
Of course that would mean doing something as silly as paying attention to more than what was immediately in front of him which was just out of the question. He had too much on his mind what with trying to find missing people, fighting off creatures that kept turning up everywhere they shouldn't, figuring out just what it was that the Organization was up to and just what the heck it was that he'd done to make Axel so...Moody was the only word Sora could think of to explain it. It didn't help that he kind of felt a little guilty about it too even though he had no idea why he should in the first place.
He skidded to a halt as the elastic creature suddenly stopped on a dime and made a b-line for the fountain, as if it knew something he didn't and from his current angle, Sora really had no clue that there was someone sitting forlornly on the other side of it, what with the structure and water falling from it obscured his view as the Keyblade wielder took off after the Dusk once more. Oh sure, some people might bother with going around a fountain as the sensible option, but that was valuable time in which it could have gotten away and was not something he was about to let happen as he jumped the rim and sloshed through the cool water after it.]
I said stop!
[He'd managed to get a hand upon the creature, only to have it jerk him forward with a startled cry as it dove over the opposite edge, past Demyx as he sat and scuttled away into the shrubs to leave Sora face-planted on the ground beside the bench in all his heroic glory.
Anybody that didn't know a thing about him would honestly have to wonder how this kid of all people had managed to be such a bane to so many nefarious beings; undoubtedly, some of them had to wonder too.]

He stood up. Slowly, just tip toe.....
A leaf cracked under his heel.]

[Sora groaned as he sat up and rubbed at the side of his face, a cheek scratched and red from the hard kiss the ground had laid upon it. He had just been silently thanking his lucky stars that no one had been around to witness his exceptional reflexes at their worst when the leaf crunch made his freeze with a look of dismay.
Maybe he'd been too quick on that.
Please don't be Donald...Please don't be Donald. The mantra kept repeating itself through his mind as he slowly turned his head to find the source of the sound and mentally prepared himself to never live down his fall with the feathered spell caster only to be both surprised and relieved to find Demyx standing there.]
You're not Donald...
[His mastery of the obvious still intact, it took Sora another moment to realize who, or more accurately what, Demyx was and he quickly jumped to his feet.]
You better not be here to make trouble again.
[It was a warning at most and an opportunity to back away at least for the taller Nobody who really hadn't seemed like a bad guy to Sora; just sort of caught in a bad place, unlike some of the others that seemed to wallow happily in the misery they caused.]

[Well he had orders to do something, technically, but he wasn't following them so that meant he was doing nothing? Something like that. He eyed Sora, still ready to bolt. He looked like Roxas in the face at least. But he clearly had no memory of him.]
no subject
What mission? Authorized by who?
[Sora pressed as he tried to both keep an eye on Demyx and pull himself off of the ground and back onto his feet. But there was an opportunity there! A chance to maybe learn a little something about this big bad secret organization that know one he'd talked to so far seemed to know anything about..other than they were up to something.]
You'd be a lousy duck anyways..Too tall and easy to understand. It would never work.
[Here they were on pins and needles with each other and what did Sora do? Crack a joke because there was just a little too much tension in the air between them.]
no subject
A duck couldn't pull off this hair. [He hesitates for a moment, squinting a little as though he were searching for something.]
Did you really forget all of us? If I find my heart, am I going to forget everything too?
no subject
Well. My friends live here so if your mission involves doing anything to them or their homes then just watch out because..Just because! [He didn't know how to make a decent threat to save his life but he didn't like making threats to start with so it wasn't as if he had a ton of practice in the department.
Forget everyone? What was he talking about? Did Sora know him from somewhere too? Like Axel seemed to think he did? And why did it make his heart ache so much to hear those words. He frowned in concern at Demyx as he tried to figure out what was going on even has he raised a hand and squeezed the fabric of his shirt over his own heart tightly.]
I..I don't...Wh-why are you guys...How come everyone says that? [Everyone was a pretty small pool of members though as most of them seemed more intent on stopping him or fighting then trying to talk. Maybe that had been the wiser idea after all?]
no subject
Duh. You got your heart taken once. You think you didn't have a Nobody? You woke up when he rejoined you. But it doesn't look like you remember any of that. Geez, Roxas. Forgetful, much?
[He looked a little disappointed. Though he and Roxas weren't joined at the hip the same way he had been to Axel.]
We even went on missions together! We went to Olympus once and I took that berserker potion because Saix was on my case about leveling up. Then he found out I broke into his computer and was really mad, so he kicked my ass and you told him to go easy on me. Though you probably could have taken care of that whole mission by yourself.
Then one week you were in a bad mood about something I didn't remember, you pulverized Saix, which was kind of great - eh heh...don't tell him I said so, though - and you ran away without saying a word!
no subject
I...I'm sorry? I didn't mean to forget...
[Why was he apologizing? But he felt like he just had to because it was important somehow.
The shorter teen stopped then with a frown and shook his head, as if trying to clear out some kind of ghost from his mind.]
Knock that off! I didn't do any of those things! I don't even know you guys! [He frowned as he stood up a little straighter to reassert himself as Sora again.] Why do you guys keep trying to turn me into something I'm not?!
